One of the best in the Town. Vitry le Francois is very small and if you expect the standart of Intercontinetal , please not stay in this city , but.....if you like cosy french style in champagne area with excellent food and nice staff it is a place for you. Rooms are not modern (but not old) ,clean and huge.... More

Stayed here yesterday and found the lady on reception very confused and appeared to be in a bit of a panic as we asked for a room that we had booked a few weeks ago. The chef showed me to the garage so I could park my motorcycle securely which was appreciated but he couldn't raise a smile and was... More

A warm and good-natured greeting from Madame was a precursor to an enjoyable stay. When asked if the restaurant was good, she observed that the chef was fat so it must be. Our mutual efforts to communicate were quite amusing but effective. Rather than the formal restaurant, we ate at the hotel Brasserie and had a delicious, reasonable dinner. All... More

It starts with a delightful welcome from 'Madame', continues with a comfortable room and then there is the highlight of the Jaques Santet restaurant. We have been travelling in France for many years and this has become a favourite stopover. Added to the foregoing is it's central location and secure parking. Our only disappointment is there is no bar. A... More

Stayed here for 1 night to break up the journey to the Cote d'Azur. Easy to find-but book parking in advance. Vitry itself is a beautiful town, small, quiet and full of charm. Not far off the autoroute and about 2/3 hours from Le Tunnel. Found it from the 2013 Michelin Guide. It recommended it for price, comfort but moreso,... More

The hotel looks dull and unappealing from the outside, but step in and it is Huge, Hard to believe how much space is in there. Very typical french style hotel which as a foriegn visitor is really nice to stay in. The breakfast was brilliant, Didnt have hot food but the offerings were fresh and mouth watering. The hotel staff... More

The hotel does not look big on the outside but inside you will find two restaurants, long corridors and many rooms. At the back, with the entrance from the next street, is a large garage. The lady owner is nice and helpful and staff is friendly My room was at the back overlooking an inner courtyard so very quiet. The... More

Msr and Mme Sautet sure know how to make their guests welcome. Every detail is taken care of, and the food is magnificent - no cuisine minceur here! Foie Gras au four , roast veal in beautifully rich sauce, An Hotel definitely worth a detour, in a quiet town with character !

We were heading back to CDG and the town, en route, seemed interesting, and it is. We like Logis Hotels, family owned and usually associated with a good restaurant. This hotel provided all these virtues and more. Well located with covered car parking. The owners were charming, but did not speak English but they suffered our very poor French and... More

A very ordinary hotel with an overpriced disappointing restaurant. We chose a local wine based on the owners suggestion at 38 euros. It was dreadful. I regret that I found nothing to recommend this establishment.
