We stayed for one night in a family room called Gustave. It was absolutely filthy- hadn't been cleaned for ages. There was no loo paper, the loo seat was broken, the shower was broken and dangerous because the temperature control was unreliable. I can't recall having a worse hotel experience in many years of travelling in France. Avoid this hotel... More

Much character to commend it, although the rooms and the hotel in general could be cleaner. It's location is very attractive being in a lovely village and also close to Beaune, the centre of the Burgundy wine region. Have revisited the hotel on several occasions and, with the reservation stated above, I would have no hesitation in recommending it for... More

We did not book but just turned up at this hotel. However when we had been shown to our room I discovered that the loo did not flush & there was no loo paper so I went down & asked Madame if she could give me some paper & get the loo fixed to which I wa stold that teh... More

We (2 adults and 2 kids) spent the night in the "Natole" room and both the entire hotel and the room are idyllic and charming. Staying in this hotel feels a bit like going back in time, but its charm doesn't make up for the dirty room (spider webs, dirty shower curtain, ...). We had dinner in the nice back... More

I live in Monaco, and the location for an evening stop over is perfect as being not far from Dijon means its about half way if you are driving to/from the UK. The place absolutely oozes character. They cook your steaks on one of the many open fires in-front of you, and the service is very good and friendly. The... More

Dinner, room, breakfast all average only really, but that is not the story. The place is magical with 4 roaring log fires, old oak tables, home made sausage and terrine and meat cooked over the fire. We found the service attentive and friendly and they accepted our 2 (well behaved) dogs without question. The rooms we had were huge and a... More

Staying in a dirty room with some old towels and a small bed can be ok for some however finding out that you can not use either your mobile phone or the advertised wifi network is not very efficient or customer friendly. This combined with expensive standard burgundian food is not what you look for in a hotel.

What a terrific place to find in the middle of nowhere land. We had found the local Logis to be full and its patron directed us 20 or so kilometres to the next hotel in the group, but we stayed in Beze to try our luck. (if you haven't done it you should give navigating round France using the Logis... More

I've stayed in this hotel a few times on my way either to or from the Alps. It's an amazing place ans you discover something new in the building on every visit. All the rooms are very different, some very small others huge and on 2 floors, old 4 poster beds and solid wood floors add to the character. The... More

We stayed for one night and the hotel really is magical. The children loved it; it is the opposite of a Novotel type hotel. Loads of character and really interesting. A bit shabby around the edges but good value. Food v good, basic French food.
