Not really impressive for 4-star hotel in the area. In-room amenities are not well-maintained and sophisticatedly managed. It's easy to notice the wear-n-tear signs in room and in public area, notably broken hair-dryer, out of service refrigerator, out of service lamps or lights, broken curtains) Hotel has not successfully highlighted its unique selling points for dwellers: near Dong Hoi market,... The hotel was a 3min walk from the markets which is a great experience in itself. We only stayed here one night and had to leave in the morning. The staff were quite helpful in making us a 'take away' breakfast. The room was nice but the refrigerator was turned off as well as the air con- not very nice... More

Though it's belonged to Saigontourist, a very big tourism company in Vietnam but it still has many fault caused by staff inattentiveness. Hard to see they smiling. When i was having breakfast in the hotel, a manager did interview for new staff recruitment right at the place, cause annoying to guests in general. Anyway view from the hotel is amazing,... More

We stayed here as part of a tour around Vietnam and were disappointed. We had no hot water for a shower, which after a full day of touring was extremely disappointing. We told reception who said they'd have a look at it- and didn't! The shower bath combo is extremely slippery with and without the bath mat! The room itself... More

This is supposedly a 4 star hotel, which you would expect 4 star service. We have stayed in many many other places on our trip through vietnam with outstanding service and care from the staff at half the cost of this overpriced, unfriendly hotel.. There are insects throughout the building and in the rooms, the staff were completely incompetent and... More

We were pleasantly surprised to be up graded to a two room suite with magnificent views of the river. The treats didn't stop there...a fruit basket and flowers arrived whilst we were unpacking. The suite was modern and extremely comfortable. We didn't tire of the view as boat traffic on the river was constant and varied. We could also see... More

Spent 3 nights here during a recent medical mission trip. Hotel is situated on the river, great walking area, near night market. Rooms are clean, comfortable, modern. Staff is helpful and attentive. Laundry service is great--same day, good job, good price. Breakfast was fair only for the Western traveler. If you want soup for breakfast, have at it. I would... More

I have stayed at this hotel twice. Once, almost opening it about three or four years ago. Second one, last December during a motorbike tour around Vietnam. The rooms are a little bit soul-less. Average decoration of a business hotel, which is a pity, because I love Quang Binh province and I think visitors would thank some more charm, after... More

The Saigon Hotel in Dong Hoi is located on the banks of the Nhat Le River. Early mornings are punctuated with the putt-putt-putting of the fishing boats heading to the fishing grounds offshore. Large dip nets are part of the scenery as are the colourful light shows on the bridge. The rooms are close to international standard although for some... More

The most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our tour. Too bad we only stayed 1 night in this hotel; there's nothing much to see or do in Dong Hoi once you have visited the nearest attraction, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. We took an evening stroll along the river front to admire the bridge and have seafood dinner... More
