So you arrive in the crowded Wuzhen Tourist Centre to get directions to the guest house. We were staying at number 70 and were advised there were no cars allowed along the streets and it was a 20 min walk from the tourist centre. Hauling my suitcase over numerous bridges and making a noisy racket along the cobblestoned alley ways... More

We paid RMB570 for one night and breakfast for two + entrance fee of RMB300 for both Xi Zha and Dong Zha (for two as well). Beware of one thing on tripadvisor : this is advertized as "Wuzhen Guest House" which is a bit misleading : there are around 70 guest houses in Wuzhen Xi Zha, overall more than 300... More

We stayed at guest house 69 and the location was great to explore West Wuzhen - near enough to the attractions, restaurants and bars, yet far enough so it was not noisy. The room also overlooks a river bank which is covered by willow trees so you have a nice view yet some privacy. The landlady and her family were... More

If so then you have found it! We stayed in the 3 bedroom guest house with our 7 year old twins and their grand-parents. Each room had its own bathroom, mosquito net covering the bed, aircon and wifi. It was also very clean. In addition there was a seating area downstairs if you need. Talk about a brilliant location, right... More

We stayed at Wuzhen Guest House 67 and had a Shishui Queen's Room. The room was beautiful with great decor and size. However, in hindsight, considering the facilities, location, breakfast, etc - we think it was overpriced for 700rmb. The bathroom also had a used cigarette butt in the shower cubicle whereas the carpet/rug throughout the room was not the... More

This is a perfectly preserved water town and has very nice views, but, the Hotel facilities is really not good. The rooms are very small, crowded and the bed was as hard as rock. Not a good experience if you want to sleep well and rest. The waterways were good. Please note, this water town can get very crowded. The... More

2、 In Wuzhen, there are two scenic areas, Dong (East) Zha and Xi (West) Zha. This trip, we chose to stay overnight in Xizha. There are difference classes of accommodation in Xizha, all centrally managed by the village co-operative. But even the most affordable homestay class is slightly more expensive compared with the accommodation outside the scenic areas. Despite this,... More

I really suggest this place to stay. The guesthouse was near entry gate, it's very easy to find it. My room view was excellent, bridge and river view. The room was fancy, clean, and for the price I pay, I got 4 star room facility. Modern room in ancient place. The breakfast was prepare well, no need to worry even... More

I was on business trip to Shanghai and I wanted to do some sight seeing over the weekend, and I picked Wuzhen. First of all, Wuzhen has a great English website that foreigners can check out. I thought about a hotel room or a guest house (in West side or Xizha) and decided on guest house. That was great decision... More

Wuzhen Guest House is under one management company, this is a good concept, to maintain consistent quality. We live in College Room A, upstairs near the water, the price is acceptable. Room is large enough, very clean, soundproof okay. We had dinner downstairs, not too expensive, very good as well. Breakfast was very rich. We had a good time in... More
