Great value for money in this family run hotel, staff are so homely & welcoming. We were supposed to only stay 1 night but stayed 2 nights. The hotel is ideally located & there is so much to see in Strokestown & surrounding areas.

The Percy French has recently changed hands and the new owners are spending a lot of money on it. It is a very qaunt hotel with a beautful rural feel to it. It is very handy for this little town and its famine museum and many other attractions. The restaurant is extremely good and their steaks have always been first... More

Stopped off for lunch on the way home to Mayo, we were greeted with a friendly welcome, great food " the roast beef was the best I've eaten in a long time", fantastic service. lots of local people eating in the hotel "always a good sign" toilets were spotless, all in all a great experience and an example of how... This is my Third Time staying at the Percy French Hotel. It's a beautiful hotel located in the centre of Strokestown County Roscommon . The Staff are very friendly and rooms are lovely and clean. There currently doing some renovations to the bar area. There is a good selection of food on the bar menu. There is a nice relaxed... More

we have been stopping at the percy French on our Irish holiday for many a long year. although the hotel itself is quite ordinary, its the staff & management who make it brilliant, they provide customer service of the highest level, nothing is too much bother for them, in fact its their mantra `NOT A BOVVER` whatever you ask of... Just returned from 3BB midweek break situated conveniently between Longford & Carrick. Scored Hotel overall 4, cleanliness 5, location 4, rooms 4, service 5, value 5. Outstanding good points were service, friendliness, willingness to please. Only drawbacks were unbelievable din of traffic on N5 from room and creaking wardrobe doors. Food v good. Hotel recommended.

After several summers staying at this hotel we noticed a dramatic improvement in decor food and overall maintenance this summer. The staff have always been excellent especially Eta, Raymond, Catherine and the murray family. We look forward to our next visit. Helena Mark and Denis from Birmingham.

We chose Strokestown as a stop over spot on our wasy to Hill of Tara. The location was convenient and the price was right. The town itself is a sleepy little place with not much to do other than their one historical attraction. Everywhere we stopped in the community we were directed to check out the museums. The hotel itself... More

I recently had an occasion to book three single occupancy rooms at the Percy French for one night. The hotel accommodated us in three double ensuite bedrooms at a very reasonable price on Booking.com of £41 per room including breakfast (tip - be sure to tick the breakfast required box under each room). The hotel is what it is -... More

This was my second visit to the Percy French in the past year. The staff were friendly and helpful as previously mentioned. The room was clean and well furnished. There is still no provision of a table for use of a computer and the Wi-Fi only appears to work in the general lobby area. The fire alarm activated for about... More
