We chose Strokestown as a stop over spot on our wasy to Hill of Tara. The location was convenient and the price was right. The town itself is a sleepy little place with not much to do other than their one historical attraction. Everywhere we stopped in the community we were directed to check out the museums. The hotel itself... More

I recently had an occasion to book three single occupancy rooms at the Percy French for one night. The hotel accommodated us in three double ensuite bedrooms at a very reasonable price on Booking.com of £41 per room including breakfast (tip - be sure to tick the breakfast required box under each room). The hotel is what it is -... More

This was my second visit to the Percy French in the past year. The staff were friendly and helpful as previously mentioned. The room was clean and well furnished. There is still no provision of a table for use of a computer and the Wi-Fi only appears to work in the general lobby area. The fire alarm activated for about... More

We stayed in the Percy French during the Easter bank holiday weekend. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is a very relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and the receptionist organised a late breakfast for us which we were very thankful for! Couldn't praise the staff highly enough, they were fantastic.

I only stayed one night as planned, but here are my recommendations: (its clean, staff friendly, but few things that I hope might help improve more) 1)Please please please a small table or desk so you can read or use laptop. 2)No tea making facilities, just a note saying contact reception(surely a more informative note, saying its available in restaurant or something(was only staying... We booked one double room in Percy French hotel as we were attending a 50th birthday party in the area. Looking forward to it for weeks - a kid free night away = rare & wonderful😳. The morning we were to arrive at hotel our kids came down with chicken pox. We rang the hotel at the very late time... More

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and tidy. although we only ate breakfast the food was excellent and the bar facilities and staff brilliant, I was in a group of six men on a social visit, to the area. However, the best was to come, after leaving and on arriving at Knock Airport I realised... More

The hotel is under recently new ownership and it is evident that work is being done on upgrading the quality of the decoration and furnishings. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was furnished with good quality furniture, a comfortable bed and flat panel TV. The addition of a small desk or table would be useful for those wishing... More
