I booked this hotel for a large group of ladies golfing. I was a little nervous on reading the reviews on this site, however we had a great trip and is was the willingness on the part of all the staff that made the difference. From our initial enquiry until our checkout we met with courtesy and efficiency. A suite... More

I have stayed here once before when I had a junior suite. The difference between that and the standard rooms is big. The soundproofing in this hotel is disastrous. I did have an interconnecting door, but I could hear guests on both sides in any case, so presumably they could hear me talking to my husband on the phone! There's... More

Stayed there with a group of 28 on 6th September 2014 having played golf in Bunclody Golf Club. The staff were pleasant enough and rooms were ok nothing to complain about. Was late to breakfast so wouldn't judge what I got as being the fare..the food at that point wasn't the best. My biggest disappointment with the place was that... More

Very clean and staff were pleasant. However, I wasn't impressed by everything I experienced during my stay. The restaurants staff did not know what was vegetarian on the menu. Parmesan is not vegetarian. I also found the food to be quite expensive. €3.50 for a handful of chips. Saying this, the portions of the main courses were quite large. After... More

We stayed in the Millrace as a group playing golf in the area. We stayed here as Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club (across the road) was the final course in our trip. There is sufficient parking and the front and reception areas are bright and fresh. We ate in the bar with a decent selection from which to chose, either... More

Stayed here last night and wasn't impressed with the hotel at all for the money we paid... Would never go back. We went for breakfast at 9:50 and had to wait til 10:15 to be seated to go in to be told the chefs not cooking anything else... Plus no hot water in the room..... Would not recommend this hotel... I spent 1 week in this hotel with my wife and my kid (4 year old), from Sunday to Sunday. Plus side: - Good staff. Our first night experience wasn't great: the room was not in proper order (lamps not working, TV not working) and the walls between rooms may as well be curtains. Our neighbours woke us up at... Myself and my partner stayed in The Millrace Hotel on 21st and 22nd of August last. I have stayed in the Hotel on lots of occasions as my partner was from Bunclody orrigionally. My partner enjoyed the guinness and walnut bread at breakfast time and asked if we could buy some to take home. Dermott the Manager made it his... More
