Booked last minute and got the "couples retreat' special of 116euro for 2 nights B&B for 2people. Bargain. The photos on their website & on other websites do not do any justice to the hotel - and although the furnishings in the rooms are old - everything is clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much... More

Big rooms, nice views, good facilities. Typical continental breakfast for a 4 star hotel. Free WiFi both in the public areas and the bedrooms. The mattresses were a bit too soft for me. Didn't have a chance to try the restaurant, but if it's as good as the others "Taberna do Quinzena" (http://quinzena.com/) it's worth the visit on it's own.... More

This is a large hotel and as a result you get treated as a typical guest. It lacks the friendliness of the smaller hotels but is very clean Wifi in room. Great views and amazing pool outdoor (I did not visit the indoor pool nor the gym. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Booked last minute online and got a favourable rate on a double room including breakfast. We had an excellent view of the Tejo and the Santerem area from the rooms large windows. We only used the outdoor pool area which was nice. The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was varied and tasty.

The hotel is a bit dated, but it is the only decent hotel in Santarem. Because the hotel is located on a hill top, the views from the rooms are amazing. You can see 30kms away! The pool is nice and the drinks etc are quite cheap. The only thing was the breakfast; absolutely shocking! Dirty tables, instant coffee, canned... More

The hotel has a spectacular location with excellent views across the surrounding countryside. When we visited Santarém it was 40º in the shade and we found we were a little too far from the historic centre of the town for a comfortable walk. As other reviewers have noted, the hotel is very clean and comfortable but the décor is a... More

Old, kind of 70's hotel. Used for conferences, the design is relevant to that. Friendly and helpful staff, quite good breakfasts, bad dinners, clean rooms. Surprisingly interesting view from the windows. Wi-Fi works only in the lobby. Good place for one night stay on your way from Porto to the south - comfortable enough and with very reasonable price.

I was running a conference at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém and this hotel is virtually at the entrance of the university. It is a well equipped hotel with a nice swimming pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. The wi-fi was a problem while we were there and never worked properly.

The Hotel Santarem is a nice hotel in my opinion. Yes it is a bit dated, and yes it is not a beautiful building. But the staff was very friendly, the view is great and it has a very interesting atmosphere. A bit like in Steven King’s “Shining” where they have this huge and deserted but kind of 80ies style... The hotel has great views being situated on an extremely quiet part of Santarem. Staff in the reception was nice and helpful. They don't have internet in many of the rooms and even in the lobby it was working only on some computers so...being a four star hotel I would expect to have the possibility to use the internet. Rooms... More
