Hotel was recommended by the Tourist Information center and promised to be near by the beautiful Santarem old city - we walked over 20 minutes !!! When we got to the hotel and entrance for pedestrian was full with broken glass and metal stairs were crooked. The AC in our room didn't work - and surprisingly the room had a... More

They bill themselves as four star but I'd be hard pressed to give them two and a half. While the staff is friendly, the hotel is old and looks it. It smells of smoke in most places. It has a nice pool but we arrived too late to use it since it closes at 8 pm. The beds are very... More

We came here to spend one night. The price and the circumstance of being a 4 star were the reasons of our choice. The price was ok but we couldn't find any reason for the fourth star. The location is good. Easy to find, nice view over the ribatejo's plains. The staff was helpful. On the other we were disappointed... More

I stayed at the Santarem Hotel at the end of May for 5 days. The transfer from Lisbon Airport to the hotel was around an hour and when we got to the hotel the reception staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Check in was quick and efficient and we had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the pool. The... More

We stayed here whilst travelling around and exploring central Portugal. The hotel is okay. We were on the 6th floor so the view we had was spectacular, but that is it I'm afraid !! The room smelled like an old smoking lounge and was really tired. The hotel is quite a walk away from the old Santarem and surrounded by... More

The hotel has a very good location on the top of a hill and with view over the Tejo river and the fields. The building itself doesn't impress, neither the lobby, although it is not bad. At the reception we were receive with a smile and very professional approach. Many hotels could have some lessons here. The carpets on the... More

Our stay here was mostly good. It is what it is – a modern, somewhat characterless hotel located in a “new” suburb on the very outskirts of Santarem. In truth our initial preference might have been the top-rated Lusitano Hotel; became moot because it was full, but it also signficiantly more expensive and all we really needed was a bed... More

The hotel needs some renovation, it is obvious that it was well planned but everything is alittle bit worn out , especially the air conditioning systems in rooms do not work properly , they could not heat our rooms in February. The breakfast can be better, the food served can be changed daily , we had the same things for five... Found this hotel when travelling through the area, We got a good deal for 2 adults and 2 children -two connected rooms with breakfast for 120 euros. Loads of space and big beds, nice, clean bathrooms. Great variety of food for breakfast. We even had a quick swim in the morning before we had to check out. There was no-one... More

Stayed for 3 nights attending a conference in September. There are not many choices in Santarem, this seemed to be the best one. Value for money if you book online (60 euros per room per night). Great view from pool side room. Rooms decorated in 70s-80s style, firm mattresses, hallways were not air-conditioned. If you need an iron, you have... More
