My wife and I stayed at this 4 star hotel for 3 days. It is very well decorated and furnished, with excellent amenities. Although it is close to the M1 motorway, we were never disturbed by traffic noise. But the thing that impressed us most was the BED. It was the finest bed we have ever had the pleasure to... more

Very average hotel. Rooms clean but very hot with no means of controlling temperature apart from opening window, being so close to the motorway the noise then becomes an issue. Having read the restaurant reviews I tried to persuade my colleagues not to eat here. In the end we decided it couldnt be as bad as described. unfortunately it is.... more

This hotel is an Ideal venue for an overnight stop. It's very close to the M1 and just off the A38. It has a nice clean leisure centre which is ideal to chill out in after a long drive. We had dinner just over the road in a nice but very child friendly Brewers Fayre (Castlewood) both the food and... more

Booked the hotel at the last minute and had a good deal at £60.00 per night with a FREE bottle of wine in the room on arrival. The hotel is modern, the rooms are quite spacious and the leisure centre is efficient and compact with a small pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room. Reception upon arrival was professional and the... more

This Hotel in right on the M1 at J28, as a result there are few public transport routes to get to and from it, so a car is essential. On arrival we received a friendly and efficient check-in, the room was clean and quiet homely for a Hotel. We only used to restaurant for breakfast in the morning, but found... more

Stayed at this Hotel for one night for business purposes. Hotel and room were ok. Staff were too young and inexperienced e.g. till work. Given a dirty glass which was clearly visible. If you stay here eat out. Set meal of £18 not good value considering the quality. Minute Starter of salmon pate, hidden under rocket. A la carte menu... more

A good night in a quiet, comfortable room. As others have noted, this is mainly a Conference and Function hotel, but we were impresed by the quality of the room. Recommended as a good overnight break on the Motorway if you can get a good price .... more

There is nothing wrong with this hotel: great location for the Peak District, next to the M1, lovely grounds, quiet, nicely layed out, lovely pool area, changing rooms, big sauna and lovely roman-like steam room, very clean and looked after... targeting inexperienced event goers as a priority. So if you don't ask for anything else on top I think you'd... more

I stayed here with my husband as he was on a 3 day course within the hotel. It wasn't that easy to find as we arrived there in the dark, and the sign for the hotel is not lit very well. The hotel is hard to find by TomTom if you put their postcode in, therefore it is important to... more
