“Excellent Colonial Hotel in Quite Gardens”

This is a colonial era hotel with exceptionally helpful staff. The rooms have a sitting room area where you can have your afternoon tea. The rooms are nicely decorated in Sikkimese style. The bathrooms are small and plumping is very good for India despite the hotel's age. The hotel is in a garden next to a stadium a bit below... more

I stayed for 3 nights this winter. I think by far this would be the best property in Gangtok. An erstwhile royal guest house of the Sikkim King, where guests of the royal family used to stay during their visits. Rooms are very spacious and the one that I stayed had an extended living room kind of a room. I... more

We stayed 2 nights in the Nor-Khill hotel. The Nor-Khill is a very comfortable hotel with helpful staff. Walking distance from the main shopping street (M.G. road) of Gangtok and a good base to explore the rest of Eastern Sikkim. more
