Bhaskaran and his family run this beautiful property in the French Quarter in Pondicherry. I'm glad we picked this place to stay in during our visit. It's a few buildings away from the Fab India outlet and is on a relatively quiet street. The property is well maintained and has a wonderful old world charm to it. We occupied two... More

Beautifully decorated and immaculately clean homestay in a leafy road in the French part of Pondicherry. The breakfasts are great - loads of fresh fruit, fruit juice, croissants, coffee and more, served next to open verandah doors. The owners are friendly but let you get on with your own relaxation. The rooms are large and airy, with a big comfy... More

This cosy guesthouse run by the warm Mr. Bascarane and his wife is an absolute gem! Their passion for hosting guests and attention to detail is certainly praiseworthy....from the beautiful selection of antique artefacts to the well maintained mini-garden in our room, from the selection and presentation of the freshest fruit for breakfast (the most amazing wholesome breakfast ever!) to... Due to my flight schedule has been changed, I arrived here in the midnight. The hotel staff was very friendly to welcome me. This heritage hotel maintains very well and clean. I love their breakfast!! If you can eat a lot in the morning, don't miss their breakfast. It provides several fruits, fresh juice, South India Dosa, French bread ,... More

There is nothing to say that is negative about this B&B, it is just perfect. Set in a quiet and relatively secluded part of town and within very easy reach of the beach area, it is an ideal spot from which to explore the town. The building is elegant and the rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated. It has a... More

Les hibiscus is a fantastic guesthouse on a cobbled road that could be in Provence. It's only a few streets from the sea front and is a quiet atmospheric location. The breakfasts are French, lots of fruit, fresh croissants, and real coffee. A most welcome relief when you have been travelling on the road in India for a while. We... More

We received a warm welcome and excellent hospitality throughout the duration of our stay. The hotel has an enviable collection of antique furniture and is immaculately clean. The breakfast of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice and croissants was excellent.

This is one of the nicest places our family has ever stayed. The rooms were large and comfortable, filled with historic charm. The breakfast was fabulous, and the service was so helpful without being on top of you. And most of all, the price is reasonable. I would highly recommend this family run establishment.

A mix of old world charm and current age comforts, this place is more like a museum with loads of antiquities and artifacts from colonial era. Rooms are very spacious with comfortable sleep quality and the breakfast is decently good. Close to many good restaurants (high priced) in heritage town area and in walkable distance to promenade.

I was lucky to get four nights in this wonderful place. After three weeks of much more arduous travel, I felt I deserved some pampering. Mr S Bascarene is a super friendly host and he runs a wonderful place. I was charmed, completely. Breakfasts were a problem, however. It is impossible to eat so much good food. My recommendation, book... More
