We had great two days with Kheang and Don. We count it as one of the best experiences we had in Cambodia. Kheang is not only an amazing chef she is also great guide and interpreter. They both gave us an insight of the Cambodian culture which we haven't had before. Please keep up with the great work you are... More

We stayed in March 2015. It was a relaxed and informative stay, we left feeling that we had a much better understanding of what life is like for a rural community and the challenges that face this amazing country. We felt very priviledged that peoples lives were shared with us in such an open way. Kheang is such a respected... More

We loved our time at Rana - absolutely loved every minute of it. Kheang is an amazing host and she ensures that everything is as perfect as can be. Life is slow here and its not for someone who has to "do" something all day. You spend your time going around the villages on foot or on bike and talking... More

We stayed at Rana homestay for 2 nights. Kheang is an absolutely wonderful hostess: generous and thoughtful. She worked tirelessly throughout our stay to ensure that all the guests were happy. Her cooking is the best we have sampled in Cambodia and plentiful! She is the interpreter during both the village tours and the evening chats and she does an... More

This was one of my best experiences (if not the best at all) I´ve made in Cambodia. I´ve learned a lot about the cambodian way of living, history, culture. I wish there are more places like this. The food is great, the hut very simple, but you don´t go there to look for luxury. The family is very friendly. The... More

From our pickup at the bus station to our departure 2 days later, this was an incredible experience. Don, an American, & his wife, Kheang, were wonderful hosts. Kheang is a phenomenal cook! The eggplant dish she made over a fire stove for lunch one day was something we talked about for months despite the fact that we don't even... More

This is a truly great experience with a truly wonderful family. It is as close as you get to rural life in Cambodia on a home stay visit. Don and Khieng's ideals that are reflected in every part of this experience, and the walk about with Khieng in the day time is an absolute pleasure. My wife is Khmer and... More

My boyfriend and I spent two nights at Rana Home Stay and were really happy with how perfect our entire time there was. Don was speedy in all of his emails and was helpful in the booking and travel to Rana. When we arrived we were well aware of the situation we were stepping into thanks to the clearly outlined... Our stay at Rana was one of the highlights of our stay in Cambodia. Of course, you have to be able to get comfortable in a rural homestay setting, which means no electricity, a bathroom somehow different of what you might be used to (still very comfortable and clean), a night in the mosquito net (provided) and time spent with... We were a family of 4 with two boys. We wanted to have a village experience and gain a better understanding of what life is really like outside the major cities and towns and this was it. We had a 2 night stay which was humbling to say the least. On arrival we met the family and were given Don's... More
