We stopped here as part of a Geckos tour. The room was filthy, there was mouse droppings all over the floor and window, the pillows were old and brown, the bathroom was just plain nasty. I asked for a new room, it took them thee go's to find a room that didnt smell or was 'clean'. In the end myself... More

As previous reviewers say it is a rather odd hotel, we were told it was built as a hospital but was never put into service. I had a room on the 2nd floor with a balcony overlooking the Mekong river, which I found rather pleasant. The bathroom was adequate. I slept quite well. I chose to have breakfast at a... More

The interior of this hotel is massive, and reminds me of a prison (not that I've ever been in prison!), or a school. Our room was on the second floor, with a balcony and a view over the legendary Mekong River. How cool is that? The door to the balcony wouldn't close properly, but at least there was a bolt... More

This place would have been fine if it wasn't for the smell! Our room had a weird damp/stale smell... The bathroom smelt very strongly of wee. I don't know if it was coming from the shower drain or the stained toilet but it was so bad I brushed my teeth on the balcony to avoid going in there. The fan... More

I stayed in a room on the ground floor for 7 usd per night, which doesn't come with a riverview, but with a view of a parking lot, so there were big trucks standing directly in front of my window. The room was clean enough, with a weak toilet flush and a bit of pubic hair in the bathroom though.... More

I came here as part of my tour and it was clean enough, rooms were smallish, water was warm. The corridors between the rooms was very prison style, which was a bit strange. WiFi only worked in corridors or in reception, would be nice if they had chairs in corridor so you could use WiFi as it didn't work in... More

I stayed here for one night on a short visit to the town. The hotel has a odd lay out with huge corridors and small rooms but I believe this is because it used to be an important building and for me this added to the charm. The rooms were comfortable and clean and I couldn't really have asked for... More

I stayed here with Intrepid tours and I'm not sure if it's the lack of hotels in the area or this is just one of the better ones.. It looks grand from outside but inside the set up is kind of strange and run down. The corridors are huge, big enough to kick around a ball and it's very quiet,... More

exceptional hotel, very clean ,large hallways, and very well priced. riverview double rooms with aircon $18. fan double rooms $8. very helpful staff, and all night security, not that it is needed. 1st appearances would suggest it is very expencive, but not the case. second time I have stayed there.
