We stayed for one night while biking the Otago Rail Trail. We were impressed with the size, comfort and cleanliness of the room, the friendliness of the hosts and the cleanliness of the kitchen facilities. And they had free wifi. Would definitely stay again.

stayed for a night and were disappointed. The room was large and clean but the only door/window opened directly onto the footpath. We couldn't leave it open during the night for fresh air at all. Also the curtains weren't thick enough so we had the streetlight shining all night. The breakfast was ordinary. The good- bike shed and laundry provided... More

Hi Helen Thank you for your feedback. There are two opening windows in the unit and it is remiss of us that we did not point that out to you. I am sorry about this. The street light you refer to has recently been renewed and now seems to be creating more light in the room at night. We are... More

We spent a night here while riding the Otago Rail Trail. The Motel is just off the trail and has all the facilities needed, and more. The rooms are spacious with high quality linen, fixtures and fittings. There is a huge comfortable bed which provided an exrtremely good night's sleep. The bike storage room was unexpected and a good bonus,... More

Spent a lovely night in a studio unit in Ranfurly. The unit was spacious, comfortable super king bed and beautifully presented with all the amenties. Nice touches to the motel including naming each room after a local feature. Also a good option for those wanting to self cater with a separate large kitchen/dining/lounge unit available for guest use. The host... More

We had driven from Queenstown without a plan for accomodation & ended up in Ranfurley. Considering we had no booking we were very well looked after. The acxomodation was very clean & tidy, the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Good value breakfast. Pleasant obliging hosts. If we are in the area again we would make this a stop. Recommend

Simply cannot fault this excellent establishment ... from the underfloor warmth in the bathroom to the eye for detail in room preparation ... we did like the idea of a common lounge to meet with other guests, in addition to room accommodation ... considering the proximity of the otago rail trail. Staff were extremely helpful and enjoyed continental breakfast.

I was based for 10 days in Ranfurly for work, The room was very comfy with Heat Pump and under floor heating in the bath room. It is a really nice place to stay in. Free WIFI access with good bandwidth was invaluable for me to be able to work from the room. The Hawkdun room is brilliant, this has... More

We stayed after a long bike ride and were shattered. Our room was large and well appointed. The spa bathtub was the most amazing treat after our journey. Richard our host has lots of local knowledge and was very encouraging about the next days ride. Highly recommended !

Cycle Surgery booked this accommodation for us and we weren't disappointed. The room, more like an apartment, was very well appointed, large with a sitting area and ensuite with underfloor heating. Coffee and tea making was provided. The room was spotless. The owner (Richard?) was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. He provides a secure bike room and... More
