We booked San Martin Hotel in January 2014 for our August holiday. We arrived with our booking number and we were told that the Hotel was under new management and our booking did not exist as they had changed their email address and all previous bookings had not been transferred over to the new management. on hearing this we were... This hotel was a real disappointment. We had a confirmation number that we received from our travel agent, who booked the hotel in May. When we were arrived we were told there was no reservation on our name in a very rude and mean way. We were told that the hotel became under new management in March. Even though our... More

We chose the hotel San Martin Hotel for 2 reasons, firstly the reviews of previous guests and secondly its geographical location. We went with high expectations but these were not meet. It started badly when the pre booked airport to hotel transfer failed to arrive. Contact with the hotel failed to resolve the problem and we were left having to... More

We loved this original hotel, the old building has been converted well, but it's a shame the air conditioning wasn't working. The sun terrace was lovely, but it would have been nice if the top roof was open. Giovinazzo is a beautiful town which is very welcoming and the place to go for a quiet Italian break.

San Martin is a nice hotel that exudes modest class and history. The hotel is excellent located in the pleasant town Giovinazzo. You can have your breakfast inside but also on a nice terracce outside. In the neighbourhood there is enough parking.

We spent two great nights and would come back in a heart beat! The location is unbelievable. Close to some amazing restaurants. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only thing that we could complain about would be the lack... More

We had two rooms, 206 and 210. 206 is a suite with small kitchenette - we were moved to it because our first room, 212, had a problem with the heating (too hot). The refurbishment of the old monastery has been very well done and the exposed stonework creates a pleasant and unusual environment. The bar directly below room 212... More

Myself and a coworker traveled to visit a local supplier and stayed at the hotel. Now, the area is amazing. There is an awesome bar next door (Ecclesia), and a lot of places to go out and try authentic, Italian food. The hotel is right on the water with amazing view. It is very quiet, and very well kept. Hotel is nice and clean well integrated in an old building. Located next to the sea and close to the city centre. The hotel is a bit clairaudient. Friendly staff. Shower cabin a little bit tiny. Internet and cell phone reception sometimes poor.

The hotel is really beautiful. The building itself is a former monastery. The feeling inside is unbelievable. I would recommend wonderful giovinazzo and San Martin for a romantic trip with your beloved ones. Truly wonderful experience!
