A very old building who's old charm is hidden by a need to give the place a face-lift. Rooms where not up to standard- even though the price was quite cheap . All in all a bit tatty but the breakfast was pretty good.

We celebrated my parents 80th Birthdays at The Stables today. This venue was perfect. The little details and thoughtfulness was really excellent and much appreciated. The food was fantastic and there were a lot of people to cater for (60+) and it was just right. The service was absolutely faultless and they all made our day so special and so... More

Dated dusty rooms. The one we stayed in had not been vacuumed for I don't know how long old plastic tags of people's clothes n fluff on carpet. Didn't dare to touch lightshade for fear of the dust going on bedding. Bed was comfortable and linen clean is the only positive I can give it. Noisey as rooms above the... More

We went out for dinner last night and decided to try the new restaurant that has been added on to The White Hart. It was mostly empty and we cannot understand why. The food really was excellent and we had lovely service too. It was a lovely evening and we thoroughly recommend them.

Noticed some time ago that The White Hart appeared to be having a makeover. It always looked a little shabby but it is changing under new ownership. The scruffy, attached garage has transformed into a lovely restaurant behind a smoked glass front, beautifully lit at night. We ate at The Stables last Saturday evening and had a fantastic 3 course... More

Stayed at the Pub with family last night , the rooms are seriously dated, infact awful , genuinely shouldn't be on the market, and I am fairly dubious as to their compliance to the fire code! . Staff are delightful though. Pub itself is old school , needs a significant clean ( "clean me " actually written in the dust... More

Wow wow wow what a transformation the new restaurant has made to the White Hart. We last stayed here 18months or more ago and the difference is fantastic. We had only just arrived and we sat down to an all day breakfast with pint strongbow - lovely. I must say i cant get over the difference and i hope the... More

we have stayed at this pub a few times now, they did have an old stable attached to the pub then it was turned into a double garage , when we first visited the garage was just a room full of junk and run down, the change is just remarkable, it is now a fantastic restaurant, we had a meal... More
