We have been coming here for years and have never found the equal to this place. Of course we also enjoy staying in a whole range of accommodation that La Belle France offers but this is the only place we come back to year after year. Do not stay here if you are obsessed with everything being sparkling new but... More

This place is really very special. We (me, my wife and my two young children) arrived late after a long drive to this palatial looking building. Even though we were (very very) late - we were welcomed with kindness and considerable hospitality. And then, the room (Chambre des Canards). Wow. Like something from a romantic novel. Beautifully decorated, and huge,... More

We had an absolutely fabulous 2 nights in Château de Saint Paterne. Charles-Henry and Ségolène are great hosts and immediately make you feel relaxed in the beautiful house and surrounding grounds. There is a lot of family history in this place which I encourage you to spend a little time to find out about before your arrival (via the website).... More

After you have read all the glowing, positive reviews about Château de Saint Paterne and the lovely young couple who preside there, you are apt to think that it can’t possibly be all true. You would be wrong. From the magnificent surroundings, the 14th century estate, the genuine - but don’t’ be afraid to lean back – antiques, the whole... More

We arrived at the chateau after a long drive and were welcomed by the owners Charles-Henry and Sogolene. We were taken to our beautiful room and allowed to get organized. The grounds are worth walking. The swimming pool is welcoming if the weather is warm enough. This chateau has been in the family for many years and was brought back... More

Staying at the Chateau is a truly marvellous experience. It has a lovely setting on the edge of Alencon with very peaceful grounds which are ideal for a pre-prandial stroll or for relaxing in the sunshine - there is an outdoor pool so bring your swimming costumes. The Chateau is family-run and full of beautiful furniture and furnishings and, as... More

A magical find this idylic setting and truly wonderful Chateau for our two night stopover, Set in its own established grounds , the owners of this Chateau have opened up their home and were very welcoming and hospitible. The room was delightful with all oak beams on display. On the first night we had a meal in the restaurant which... More

We stayed at the chateau for just one night on our way to Calais but one night was not enough. We stayed in chambre madam which has a comfortable four poster bed, beautiful roll top bath and superb views over the pool and grounds. The room is furnished to the highest standard and is very authentic but yet has all... More
