Malapascua is a tiny island off the northern tip of Cebu. It can be a challenging road journey from Cebu city to the island. Guests can get quotes all the way up to P 6, 000 for a one way transfer. The cheapest way we have researched is to get on a bus from Cebu city to Maya port (P... More

We visited the island/property despite friends and colleagues warning of gigantic waves and whatnots. Still we proceeded on with little knowledge of getting there. We only knew the basics, (1) what terminal to get to for the bus ride north, (2) ferry schedule should be early for calmer seas, (3) never give in to canvassers when arriving in the island.... More

Second time staying at this resort. We were here diving in Sept 2010. We came back as I wanted to see the Thresher sharks (only Padi open water on first visit so wasn't able to go down that deep). Enjoyed the diving which we did every day despite the weather not being so good. The resort offers up to 4... More

Isn't the best bit not the worst.Let's face it the hotel isn't good while the beach and the restaurant is great. The dive spots are amazing but I have mixed feelings in this resort their is something missing cause it lacks the fun.

We got a room with a turmoil beneath it and it was crazingly hot. There was a constantly hot air in the room. We were sweating all night. When we talked about it with the ladies in the reception, they murmured an apology but didn't offer any refund. Worst hosting in the Philippines so far.

The hotel is right at the beach (like nearly all hotels on the island) and has a very good dive shop/operator attached to it. The hotel it self could do with a face lift in the room, bit of paint and some new beds and bathroom appliances (we have been in a lot of hotels in the Philippines and know... More

reasonable accomodation as a dive resort, tasty food, amazingly close to dive shop & beach, extremely professional and responsible instructors / DMs, most work in dive shop as long term staff for years. i have no second thought when return again. a real guarantee for divers.

My 13 year old son and I stayed at this resort for about 6 days. The hotel transported us by car from our hotel and then by boat. They were on time to pick us up. We arrived at the resort and I was blown away. The beach and ocean colors were amazing. We were greeted with a drink and... More

Malapascua Exotic Diving Resort - the airport transfer was late. Instead of them looking for us on arrival area, we are the one looking for them in exit area. Then when they found us, the car hasn't arrived. The driving takes 3-4hours (depending on the road traffic) to go to the end part of Cebu land(called Maya), where the private... More

Stayed for 8 nights in a top floor deluxe beach front room which was very clean and comfortable and above all bug free. We really enjoyed our time at Exotic and what made it extra special were the staff - everyone was so friendly, pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere all round was really great. The restaurant menu was amazing... More
