Having admired this place many times whilst driving along the Fosse Way, I finally stayed there in 2014 and have since been back twice. It has character in spades along with excellent, friendly staff. I have had different rooms each time and all have been great. Some have beautiful exposed roof timbers which can at times be quite challenging but... More

Very old country Pub /Inn.The pub has a lovely cosy atmosphere, staff are friendly and food in the restaurant was good.Shower was not so great with not much pressure and very tricky getting the temp correct. Radiators in rooms don't work but there is a heater which warmed up the room quickly. Breakfast was delicious. Walked around the village and... More

Only people staying for this night, just as the hotel reopened after a two week break. Room was freezing when we arrived, but soon warmed up. The place is very old, floors list one way or another, the decore is covering crooked walls, but it is spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding was good witha very... We wanted to get away for a couple of nights after our Christmas Wedding, we searched through so many Inns and B and Bs and finally chose the Halford with a bit of help from Trip Advisor. It is really well positioned for Stratford Upon Avon and the Cotswolds and was easy to find. The staff were great from check... More

We stayed here for a weekend before Christmas, we wanted to visit Stratford but didn't want to stay in the centre. The Halford is a 15 mins drive outside town. We booked a suite as we fancied a bit of extra opulence. Arriving late on a Friday I think the owner was on duty in the bar and he was... More

Spent a pleasant, relaxing evening in this fine old inn. Enjoyed a good meal with friendly and courteous service. The rooms were not "Premier Inn/Travelodge." No sterile clones; but instead with old-fashioned fire grates, the floor definitely on an angle, and the restaurant and bar in keeping, and the coaching stables at the back. Chipping Campden and Broadway are a... More

We stayed back in October and paid £110 for a suite in the top. This was very comfortable and delightfully quirky. It is just on the egde of the Cotswolds but gives great access to all the villages and towns. Breakfast was very good apart from a substandard sausage. Staff were very kind and thoughtful. We would be happy to... More

I called in with family members on a miserable and wet late October day. We were not greeted politely but the rude lady said "No food". It was just after lunch and almost empty. I'm sure sandwiches could have been rustled up. It said cakes but we were informed very abruptly that there was just one type. So what would... More

Big Apologies....... very unlike us @ The Halford. We offer a Warm Warwickshire Welcome with a lovely log fire in the bar in the winter. Please give us another try as we just had a slight off day! More

We came across this wonderful little restaurant in the Halford Hotel whilst travelling back home from Devon. It turned out to be the perfect place for lunch, so pleased we found it. The greeting we received was lovely, the food fresh and inviting, gluten free - no problem, nice menu. Very pleasant surroundings, a nice court yard had the weather... More
