We got to The Halford due to a mix up with our reservation at The George but the over riding impression was of excellent friendly service. However our bedroom had to be accessed by very steep stairs and was facing the road. The broken glass in the windows along with the broken window frame didn't bode well. The log used... More

After a horror show at the RSC roof restaurant it was with great trepidation we stopped to eat in south Warwickshire. All fears were groundless however. The Halford gave us good food and great service. TIP park in the car park on the opposite side of the road.

WE stopped here mid afternoon on route home and enjoyed excellent coffee and specialty teas. All served with a home made biscuit by very pleasant staff in very comfortable surroundings. On checking the dining room menu we would have loved to have stayed for dinner. Excellent value we will return

Stayed at The Halford for one night on our way back home. Due to all the double rooms being full we got upgraded to one of the two premier rooms on the top floor. We were delighted with the huge bathroom, through lounge with 2 settees and a large flatscreen leading through to the bedroom with a large bed and... More

This is a lovely old building, with a courtyard that could have been airlifted from the south of France. However... We stayed in a room on the courtyard since we had our dogs with us. Very clean and at first sight, quite nice, but the room is without windows other than a small frosted one (to stop those outside viewing... More

Thank you for your time after staying @ The Halford on our 3 day deal offer through booking.com. You stayed in our large groundfloor courtyard room with your 2 dogs, giving easy access for your dogs to take for a walk. This was a 16th Century stable! All our wall paper is Fallow & Ball. Our food is fresh prepared... More

We stayed at the Halford as an overnight stop when seeing a play at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. This is a wonderfully quirky Hotel, with lots of nice little details. We booked to have a meal in the Hotel as we came straight from work, and because I received a very nice email correspondence with someone at the... More

Thank you for taking the time for such a detailed positive review. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. I have spoke to the chef concerning our Hooky Fish & Chips, apologies - one of best selling dishes. We welcome you back to The Halford soon More

Lovely old inn building directly on the Fosse Way, very convenient for those travelling through on a pleasant country route. Handy free parking outside building. I had a good room at the front of the building which was plenty big enough with good en suite bathroom (just shower). The room overlooked the busy Fosse Way, which is quite noisy with... More

The Halford is an old querky building. We upgraded to the Secret Moments bedroom which was spacious, and the decor gorgeous but mind your head on the beams. From what I saw all the bedrooms looked nice & comfortable. Nestled in a lovely village, it was a lively pub/accommodation. AThere is a courtyard at the back to sit out in... More

If you stay here at the Halford you are getting a stay in a lovely listed coaching inn which has been tastefully brought as up-to-date as the restrictions of listed buildings will allow. The bar and the restauarnt are modern and stylish but still let the character of the building show through. The staff are brilliant and we are now... More
