So happy we found this lovely boutique motel run by wonderful hosts, who were so accommodating and friendly. Our 2 bedroom unit was spacious, super clean and had lovely comfy beds (so important!) the free wifi worked a treat as did all the channels on the TV. We were served a delicious continental breakfast, included in the rate, which really... More

We stayed here one night and the hosts could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, tidy and clean. The included breakfast was really good and saves that hassle of having to get up and find somewhere to eat to start the day. All up a good deal at a great place Thank You

Nice little boutique motel on the edge of Dargaville. Everything was great with accommodating hosts and a very nice breakfast. Couldn't really ask for too much more. Dargaville Museum at the other end of the town is particularly recommended.

Nice, small, and quiet, place to stay. The hosts were away and friends were filling in. The rooms were good, clean, and tidy. WiFi reception was good, we had the unit next to the residents quarters. Breakfast was excellent, ate it sitting outside on the bench under the veranda in the sun. It made the stay.

Beautiful little motel on the side of the highway, very friendly hosts and furnished with a very british taste. Location is not ideal as you have to take the car to do anything, but the comfort is there, and the addition of breakfast, rare in motels, is a very nice touch. We had a bit of trouble with insects during... More

We weren't sure what a boutique motel was: now we know. Awakino Point Boutique Motel is situated on the outskirts of Dargaville , well off the road in a country setting. The accommodation was neat, tidy and well cared for. June and Mick were lovely hosts... and the breakfast delivered to our room on a trolley was excellent; it really... More

We stayed in Dargaville for one night with family members from overseas. I am very glad that we chose Awakino Point Boutique Motel as our lodge. Both units (1&2) are clean and tidy. We can tell from the details that the host decorates the rooms with love. The entire ambiance outdoor and indoor was warm and cozy. A pity that... More

I understand the rationale behind calling it a 'Boutique' motel but I'm not sure it is quite the right descriptor. I imagined something modern but it is rather dated. That said, it was fine for our one night stay - clean and warm (with the heater on full) on a cold July night. Sufficient space throughout and the facilities were... More

We enjoyed our homely and comfortable stay at Awakino Point Motel. June is a lovely host and a very good painter and maker of pottery boots. The Breakfast was an excellent addition and set us up for the day. We would not hesitate to recommend this Motel to everyone.

A little more than we usually spend, but seemed a lot warmer than a lot of the other places we checked out. Especially with the log fire! Really nice place, quiet (a little way out), we had a twin and double room, attached to a lounge with log fire, shower, bath and toilet, friendly hosts and great little breakfast! (Loved... More
