I've booked this hotel referring to the comments made on Tripadvisor but it was a total suprise for me. The hotel has very small rooms. There's always a noise coming from outside (from the motors of the A/C or Generators) The bath room has lots of stains in the wall and in the floor. So you can not feel like... More

I stayed 4 nights in Safeer Hotel. I had email contact before. As this was a new destination, they arranged a taxi pick up for me. Which was a little bit more expensive then taking a taxi the "normal" way. So I was happy to see somebody with my name on a sign, as I left the airport. I booked... More

Friendly, helpful staff, reliable and fast wifi, clean rooms with 100+ TV channels (2 English), wonderful soft beds, good aircon and quiet. The manager is a very kind man and even offered to store our luggage while we went on a side-trip. The price we were offered is excellent for Iraqi Kurdistan and the location is $15 taxi from the... Don't dismiss the modest facade: this is a great, mid-range hotel. Rooms have enough space, and beds/furnishings are comfortable. Traditional breakfast included, and there is tea available in the cafe any time of day or night. Staff members are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Good location, too--easy walk to Citadel and market, good coffee shops and tea houses right in the... More

Very important when travelling; a good bed. And the beds at the Safeer are excellent. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. Rooms are clean and the bazaar and citadel are within walking distance. A very good choice, especially for the business traveler.

Yes, our beds have been selected very carefully to offer the tired traveler the best nights sleep. The mattresses and the beds have been made in Syria, where they know what quality is. We at the Safeer are very concerned that our guests are sleeping well, as we understand the importance of starting the day rested. We are very happy... More

This hotel doesn't look much from the outside and if you looking ad hoc you would pass it by. It is quiet as the rooms run to the back of the place. Well organised thanks to Mr Akram, his beaming personality and proficient staff. It has the added benefit of having a good restaurant on the left (as you look... More

Happy to hear you enjoyed your stay, and always happy to have you back. Reading you note about locking the windows, I would like to add that Erbil still is not the kind of town where windows need locking. Most of Iraqi Kurdistan is very safe, with very little crime. The manager, Akram Jibouri More

I have tried many hotels in Erbil and I can choose this hotel, with clear conscience, as the best hotel in this city. The hotel doesn't have the proper promoting mechanisms to be more famous although it deserves to be. Not even the hotel design from the outside help you to anticipate the quality of service that you are going... More

It is rare to feel at home in a hotel, but I felt at home in Safeer and kept coming back for the same reason. Very friendly and helpful staff, great owner/manager who meets you with a smile. Great location near old City and the nightlife street. Close to the bars as well. The staff was amazing and made us feel at home the whole time we were there. The rooms are a bit dated and smell of cig smoke, but it is to be expected.
