First of all, thanks have to go to other TA reviewers who recommended the Amarte Hotel about 10 mins south of Puerto Morelos. Based on your comments, we decided to spend four days enjoying the quiet and lush property that makes up the hotel. A world away from the busy touristed areas of either Cancun to the north or Playa... More

The Amarte is an excellent hotel for an independent traveler who wants to experience genuine Mexican hospitality, in a tranquil tropical garden setting. The hotel is located midway between Puerto Morales and Playa Del Carmen. A great location for a base to explore the Riviera Maya by rental car. There is plenty of parking available. The highway is in good... More

My fiancé and I stayed here four nights and overall had a nice stay, but wouldn't go back. Our room was clean, spacious and had good A/C. There were a few issues worth pointing out: the in-room, wired internet did not work (though wifi in the hotel lobby did). We mentioned this to the desk early on, and followed up... More

If you are looking for some relaxation and you avoid staying in the all inclusive resorts, I highly recommend this place. We loved these bungalows with private entrances, balconies with hammocks; it is such a beautiful hotel. The hotel is as nice as or better than in the pictures. We only have praises for this hotel’s high standards in serving... More

We started our Yucatan vacation here and loved it. The jungle grounds are groomed and maintained just enough to get to your secluded two-unit villa and still feel lush and natural. Each villa has two hotel rooms with a palapa covered porch. The rooms are spacious, stylish, extremely clean and the staff are professional. It can be a bit hard... More

This property is architecturally beautiful and the jungle garden setting a feast for the eyes and quiet for the soul. Unfortunately, in spite of repeated repellant applications, our unit (#16) could not be sufficiently rid of mosquitoes, although we understand this was not a problem in other units. The manager and staff were all kind and helpful and doing their... More

This is nice place to stay and relax from the busy beaches. Ask for appartemento 3 or 4 near the pool. It's quiet and the walk through the jungle garden is so great. The staff is friendly and management enthusiastic. To the beach is just a mile, doable walking, or just order transport. That's complimentary , so perfect ...rooms are... More

We ended up in Amarte Maroma after a disappointing stay in Playa del Carmen. We booked at the front desk for five days initially but stayed for the remaning ten days. The hotel is very well kept up. It looks like it just went through refurbishment. Everything looked well mantained and clean. We spent the first five days in a... More

We spent a week in the beautful Amarte Hotel in Puerto Morelos and loved it. The small bungalows housing two separate apartments are roomy, nicely furnished and superclean. Each bungalow had a very comfortable large terrace with hammocks and chairs and the garden itself is a beautifullykept jungle with romantic paths and pools. As is it directly next to the... More
