Very artistic hotel in an artistic town, we like it very much, the pity is that we could only stay for one night. The hotel is new and beautiful, wood arts everywhere. And it is great value for the money, the room is only 60000Aviary for a 3-bed family room. Just walk out of the hotel and turn left, walking... More

Stopped for lunch at Hotel Artisan on the way to ranomafana National Park. Good food (I had the pizza, with generous toppings). The freshly squeezed Pineapple juice was excellent and cheap (50 cents a glass) Equally if not more important to travelers, the toilets were clean, clean, clean with TP, soap, and hand dryer - all in the middle of... In the courtyard of the hotel, we were lucky enough to experience extraordinary performances of Malagasy folk dances accompanied by wonderful live music. It would be worth contacting the hotel to ask when they are scheduled there again. This was the most incredible cultural experience we enjoyed in Madagascar. Ambositra made a good lunch stop traveling between Ranomafana and Anstirabe,... More

This hotel is placed in woodcraft village and it looks like an artwork. But inside it's not so good, just middle class. It's good for 1 night stay on your Madagascar journey, not more. The restaurant was good, food and drinks were also good and prices weren't very high, staff is very friendly. Also there were many poor people trying... More

We stayed one night here as part of an organised tour of Madagscar. We found the room serviceable and clean but fairly basic. The beds had lovely woodcarved headboards and the mattresses were firm but the pillows were really just small cushions and I must admit I did not get a good nights sleep because it felt like I had... We stayed here for one night during a tour of Madagascar. The hotel is secure and well maintained, although in common with many places in Madagascar, the rooms were not well lit. The rooms are furnished well with interesting carvings on the curtain poles and headboard. We also ate at the hotel and whilst the food was good, we were... More

I just had lunch there on my way to Fianarantsoa and was amazed how good the meat was at a very cheap price! There were also two locals playing relaxing music. Situated a bit from the busy center of Ambositra

Maybe the best place in the town. But a little bit poor. The rooms are dark. The windows couldn't be opened. Small restaurant with good food and life music all the evening. To stay there one night is o.k., but no good choice for more!

we were pleasantly impressed by the hotel and the restaurant, which offered good affordable food and accomodation. It was especially nice to have sunday lunch with local music sitting in the large garden- courtyard.ambositra deserves an overnight stay, visit the local monastery, they make excellent cheese. a nice stop over and a chance to see the local crafts
