I did not stay at this hotel, but instead ate at the adjoining restaurant. We ordered pizza, which was quite good by Malagasy standards. The waitstaff were very helpful and friendly. The ambiance is nice as there are many beautiful wood carvings (what this area is know for) decorating the restaurant and there is also a nice view of the... More

I have stayed at Motel Violette for 1 night, in a room in the main building, above reception. For 32.000Ar, this motel is good value for a good night sleep. Yes, rooms are bit dated and basic but spacious and with running hot water! What a luxury! What made my stay memorable was the hotel staff including reception and restaurant.... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights, we had a bungalow that was located on the opposite side of the reception, just few minutes on walk distance. The room is nice, large and quite clean, in relationship with the malgasy standards; the bathroom is large, ther's hot water and clean towels. The price is 55.000 Ar/for night. We had... More

Don't expect luxury, but the bungalows are clean and calm and there is hot water. The hotel is situated at the entrance of Ambositra so you're not exactly in the center of the city. The hotel restaurant is excellent. We had dinner and breakfast there - the food was fresh and tasty and the bread is homemade. There's a group... More

A little out of town but have a restaurant onsite. Need to run the hot water for a while until it kicks in but overall the rooms were good and used local carved timber in the furnishing. Pretty quiet in the units at the rear across the road. Stayed in Sept 2009.

We had a bungalow on the other side of the road. The rooms were spacious, but we didn't have hot water each times. The rooms were clean, but nothing special. you're a few kilometres outside the city centre.

This little jewel is clean spacious light and bright. It is also practically brand new. Nothing too fancy but safe and friendly. The new cabins are up above the highway with a view of the town and surrounding rice paddies. They have TV!! No English stations. The bathroom is clean and large. The towels are thin but hey. The restaurant... More
