Family member shown renovated room on initial enquiry but on arrival offered 2 substandard other rooms which had filthy carpet and curtains had blood and mould on them, some lights not working in room and outside.Reception man (Troy) was embarrassed when we didn't stay and tried to help but it would battle to achieve a 1 star. The place is very tired,DO... We first had trouble finding it..but once we found it....it was easy to get to and around....It really could do with some renovations....the staff were friendly....the buffet breakfast was good....the location is really nice on the water....in the mornings at breakfast we would see kangaroos on the island opposite the hotel......it was nice to walk around we found it very... The hotel has seen better days, it's very rundown now and looks like a Ghost Hotel. Rooms are fine though of you just need a clean bed for a night or two. Bar ladies friendly, beer cold, just sad that the smell of cooking in oil and grease drifts into bar and your hair and clothes all stink as if... More

We checked into the Marina Quays for one night due to a burst water pipe in our currently being renovated house. These are our comments: Check in - reception area looked ok, receptionist looked a bit fed up but that happens in 5 star hotels too. Paid up front for one night $120.00. I noticed the bar had just opened... More

The first challenge is finding the place; when you turn into John Lund Drive (the street sign says Ave) you arrive at the end of a dead end street! No sign or indication that a "resort" is anywhere nearby. So after getting guidance on the phone we arrived and proceeded to check in. No concierge or porter service is the... More

Agree with one of the other reviewers when they said it would be the worst place they have ever stayed! I even questioned the receptionist if I was in a Hotel or what? Like a ghost town.. Difficult to find as it has no road number due to it being tucked away in the back of beyond on a service... More

Ok. This should NOT be a 4 star resort. It might have been one, but that was probably when I was about 13 years younger...... Look, all is not bad. Awesome location (once we found it.. .bit of a hassle through roadworks), entrance looking good, friendly check in staff. Room looks clean, and has everything one needs. Slight error in... More

We recently stayed one night for a wedding, which was not held at hotel thank goodness. I am very glad it was only for one night. Do not be deceived by the photos or the star rating - this is not a quality hotel. The rooms were dated and in disrepair. The restaurant buffet breakfast was awful. Certainly not worth... More

Great location on the water but hotel is in urgent need of a makeover. They have a restaurant but it is only open for breakfast and a bar that is only open Friday/Saturday nights for a few hours. This hotel would be fabulous if it had a little bit of loving care as the rooms are a good size. Bathroom... More

Need to spend some money and reinvigorate this place. Could be such a nice hotel with a lite bit of work. Cheaper that the Intercontinental down the road but no where near the standard. Generally clean but quite dated.
