We have just returned from 4 days at Royal Palms, not a holiday, a family function. Wished we had read Tripadvisor first. We stayed in apartment 11B, it was an absolute disgrace, 5 light bulbs not working, carpet dirty and frayed, lounge suite was old, drab and dirty smelling and when you sat in it you went yuk. When we... More

We stayed in apartment 22D for a week, and it was excellent. It is partly refurbished, but was clean, tidy, well furnished, and quiet... the only noise that we heard at night (admittedly the place was a bit quiet for winter) was the surf on the beach below! Security provided by key 'fobs' was excellent! The view was fantastic, from... More

We spent a lot of time researching a family style resort with a heated pool, close to the beach and a fully equipped kitchen and we were well rewarded by the Royal Palm Resort. Our apt was fully refurbished, light, airy and spacious - loved the wii - nice touch! Pool and spa were clean, warm and the beach was... More

First up - lovely staff. Front office staff are to be commended on their professional approach and manner. The complex is obviously ungoing some upgardes, the pool is lovely and clean and facilities surrounding the pool (bbq, chairs etc) are newish and adequate. Our apartment however: GROTESQUE! We stayed in apartment 5E which was well and truly in drastic need... More

We stayed here with our toddler and baby and found it very good. Ask for a refurbished room though, ours was not and it was a bit of a dump with chipped wallpaper and dents in the wall. Kitchen and washing facilities are handy for families. Didn't trust the balcony. Views were fantastic, and the beach and a reserve are... More

I stayed at this hotel the same time last year, also for the Gold Coast Marathon and this second stay was not as pleasant. As I was checking in late, and the hotel hadn't answered my request via Booking.com I phoned them on the morning to let them know and collect the pin to access the safety deposit box which... More

After reading some shabby reviews of this property I phoned them, as the location was ideal for our trip (not a holiday). The staff were really helpful and honest about the situation, recommending not to go to the cheaper rooms as they had not been refurbished. They gave a great deal - bettered Wotif, and gave us a great room... More

We stayed in 7B, the apartment was fantastic. The views were awesome as we were overlooking the pool and the beach all the way down to Surfers Paradise. Great to see the new foyer/reception is just about finished. The staff were great, very helpful. The rooms were spotless. The shops are a short stroll if you need anything and there... More

We have been coming here for about 10 years. We travel the world and consider ourselves discerning reviewers (e.g. last month we were in Spain & Portugal). This is a 1984 built holiday apartment building. It is not serviced daily, but on departure. The choice of apartment is based on the level of renovation - cheap=unrenovated, middle=renovated but not recently,... More

We traveled up from Victoria for a family holiday with my Mum. Absolutely amazing view! Our room was 15c - no aircon but had ceiling fans. Wasn't an issue over Easter as it was mild. The room was nice, no issues with the cleanliness - although the insinkerstor did smell a little. Would like to see fly screen doors on... More
