Have stayed at Xanadu twice, both times in amazingly spacious two bedroom apartments. Two bathrooms, large bedrooms and huge living space. Amazing apartments for the price and excellent location in fabulous Main Beach. Directly opposite beach and a block away from cafes and bars. Also, great for family, good pool area as well. more

we went for a well earned break. Reading other reviews we insisted in a renovated room and asked for level 16 or above. We got a renovated room all right it must have cost the owners no more than $2000 in total for furniture ! The bedroom had a japanees style futon ! we are in our 60's i have... more

I thought Xanadu it was OK, but certainly NOT 5 star. I've stayed in 5 star before and this is more like 4 star at the most. Xanadu is in a great position 3 mins walk to Tedder Avenue and right across the road from patrolled beach. When we arrived, a very bored looking receptionist (who didn't even smile) handed... more

We stayed at Xanadu for 3 nights in July. The complex consists of 2 high-rise buildings, an outdoor and heated indoor pool, 2 tennis courts, lounge area and some grassed areas near the pool. The complex is spacious with a good number of visitor carparks. I swum in the indoor pool with my son and we found it to be... more

My daughter and I have just returned from a seven night stay at Xanadu Apartments on Main Beach in Queensland's Gold Coast. We had a two bedroom apartment on the 13th floor (Room 41) The apartment was very spacious, well decorated and light and airy. There were two balconies overlooking the ocean. The views were to die for. There was... more

I’m staying at Xanadu right now. My wife has just popped out to Kmart to buy some bleach to pour down the drains in the bathrooms because they are stinking. The laundry room is also stinking but we can't work out why. The room smells of old cooking and the carpets do not appear to have been cleaned for years.... more

My hubby and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary with a 3 night stay at Xanadu Resort at Main Beach on the Gold Coast and, as we found when we stayed here during our honeymoon several years ago, we couldn't have asked for anything better. We checked in almost 2 hours early but were only made to wait about 20... more

After a miserable stay at the Mai Tai resort, Port Douglas, our next stop was the Gold coast and Xanadu resort. It was excellent, and outstanding value. The one bedroom apartment, on the 23rd floor (I think it was apartment 71) was spacious and well equipped, with a full kitchen, laundry room, dining table, living area with comfy sofas, walk-in closet,... more

Just goes to show that each experience is so individual because I booked this hotel on the positive experiences of others. You can see from my past ratings that I do not judge harshly, but I am a big believer in fairness and quite frankly, feel ripped off by this hotel. Not all rooms are equal, and had I gone... more
