Stayed at the Breakfree Maldives for a week and found our stay pleasant if not spectacular. The rooms are in a mini apartment style and are compact but not overly small. Booked a last minute stay down here ot realising that the Champ Car races were taking place at the same time. Driving down to resort was a pain getting through all the traffic but even worse was to come before getting into hotel. This place is old and outdated. And would be more appropriate for broke gamblers looking for a place to sleep after betting their life savings away. I stayed here with my partner about a year ago and would not recommend people go here. It took us 45 minutes to get into our room. The staff here were butt lazy and could not be bothered in helping us out with any queries. We had to work it out ourselves. The room was small than what was advertised... more

The description about the hotel room on the website was misleading. I have stayed at many properties on the Gold Coast, this would be one of the worst ones. At best, I would rate it no more than three stars. I will never stay here again. more

Excellent value for money accommodation. We stayed on the 12th floor which had excellent beach views from the bedroom and lounge area, right from southport to up past Main Beach.
