This was a wonderful little hotel and is definitely worth staying at. Despite having stayed at 4 and 5 * hotels this hotel was absolutely in a league with them in terms of cleanliness, size of rooms, helpfulness of staff, pool and location. Breakfast was lovely and very Mediterranean but extremely delicious. The pool is very quiet and on most... More

stayed at the castro from 14-21 may (room 17), our first visit to Santorini. Artemia and her family are lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The room was very comfortable with a double bed (very unusual abroad). The hotel is situated at the back of the resort,a pleasant 10 min stroll into town in a quiet area surrounded by... More

Having read great reviews on this site we were so looking forward to staying at the Castro. There were positives in that family members were friendly and polite and you could not fault the cleanliness of the whole hotel and pool area. I appreciate it is a 2 star/budget hotel but felt the single child like beds with minimal bedding... More

Fantastic hotel you could not ask for no more in this basic but spotless hotel, fantastic new swimming pool and a sun trap! Excellent family run and typically Greek and amazing. It is a 10 min lovely walk to the centre but very dark at night, would not recommend for single lady's but fine for groups and couples. A fantastic... More

Travelled to Santorini for a week to chill out. Stayed in the Castro and found it to be lovely, rooms spotless, family run and they were lovely. Very good continental style breakfast, coffee, lovely bread and the most amazing fig jam, lovely yogurt with honey, fruit, cake, cheese, ham, boiled eggs etc all the usual. A most pleasant 10 min... What a wonderful place to spend a week. The family could do no more for us, from helping us book a car for a few days (it was at our door within half an hour of booking) to making us feel like part of the family at the breakfast table. Always smiling and willing to help no matter what. Beautiful... More

I wish every hotel in the world was like the Castro. It is fantastic. The owners are the most wonderful people and cannot do enough for you. Their home produce tastes amazing and their honey is the best I have ever had. If you have plans on going to Kamari then stay at the Castro. You will not be disappointed.... More
