Excellent Hotel, close to the beach and lots of various bars and restaurants. Very good staff always helpful especially Vangelis the owner. Rooms very good cleaned daily with fresh towels. Excellent pool and sunbeds, with small bar providing food and drinks. Probably best for couples only (in my opinion) book transfers with the hotel directly via their facebook page

We choose this hotel for our honeymoon. The hotel's interior is very fine, rooms are not so big, but they are clean and tidy. Breakfast is very good, better than average. In Kamari we stayed in October. This period is not suitable for swimming and sunbathing, but for resting in silence and without the crowds ideal. In Kamari you can... More

Living in Greece, I often have taken friends to Santorini. We ALWAYS stay in Kamari Beach and only at Matina's Hotel. This is a terrific hotel, quiet and spotless. Because it is set (a short walk) away from the beach, one avoids the nocturnal noise as all the beach hotels are along a crowded boardwalk. The hotel is set back... More

While in Santorini, we stayed at the quaint, cozy Hotel Matina. It is in a garden setting, beautiful! The staff was so friendly, by the end of our stay we felt like family. They are very helpful with booking and renting, cars, quads. They made our time in Greece very memorable. It's a very short walk to the beach where... More

we visited Matina in October which is the tail end of the season and many shops and restaurants around the hotel were closing which meant it was very quiet. I do think in the height of the summer it must be quite busy in the area. It is about a 5 min walk to the beach and there are lots... More

What a great family run hotel. Spotlessly clean, very friendly staff, great pool area with bar. A few minutes walk from the beach. Great breakfast, very homely, doesn't feel like u r in a hotel. Rooms are great, balcony we had was small but enough to relax. We had a 630am flight, and they put on coffee, bread, cake (the... More

Spotlessly clean tranquil hotel in excellent position for local village and beach and for touring Santorini. Family run with emphasis on service. Good pool area but limited bar and other facilities. One downside is the emphasis on pushing continually to sell trips and excursions which can become intrusive. Very valuable local knowledge freely dispensed with advice about restaurants and shopping.... More

Have been staying at hotel Matina also this year and if possible, even better this year! Fantastic service, fantastic breakfast with everything you may desire - even homemade applecakes and wafles. Perfectly clean and tidy rooms and a great bar with good Music and tasty mojitos! All the staff are doing their best to make your stay Perfect and of... More

We stayed in July of 2014 with our 13 year old son. The hotel is clean and in a quiet location. The breakfast is reasonably good. A small market with friendly staff is just 1 minute away, restaurants are close by and all along the beach. The beach itself is just 4 minutes away with paid seating and umbrellas, unless... More

After much searching of a nice place for me and my teen girls to stay for our few days in Santorini, we chose Hotel Matina. Despite any concerns, it was a perfect choice. The hotel family was extremely helpful and welcoming. We had more than comfortable accommodations. And what drew me to the hotel in the first place was the... More
