If you can't afford a beach house, please give them a visit, you'll feel like you do actually have one... Service is excellent, they are extremely friendly and always smiling. Turtles everywhere, cheap, peaceful, excellent and pretty nice rooms, breakfast is homemade with heart. and changes everyday. Definitely recommend it.

Claudia and Tobi have created a treasure that I'm tempted not to tell of in the hopes that it never changes. Our comfortable and very tastefully designed rooms stood in the midst of palm trees and a lush, colourful garden tended with utmost care. Every morning our rooms were cleaned and sheets and towels changed. After an early morning walk... More

Went with an Audubon bird.watching group so nearness to the lagoons was a plus. Beach across small street lined with palms and great for long walks. Villa Don Manuel excellent, quiet and restful and food delicious. Setting in palms, flowers, ponds and a nice swimming pool could not have been better. Proximity to picturesque Zihaunajuato an asset . Will recommend... More

For each of the past three years we have been taking small groups of Americans and Canadians for week long yoga retreats to the Villa Don Manuel in the Barra de Potosi. Each year has been a wonderful experience. From the moment we started planning these retreats with our hosts, Claudia & Toby, we were met with only the greatest... More

Wow, how refreshing it was to stay at Villa Don Manuel in Barra de Potosi. Toby and Claudia were our hosts. They run this beautiful bed and breakfast in Barra de Potosi. We loved the ambiance, the tranquility of the place and the good nature of our hosts. The breakfast was very well prepared, we had Chilaquiles with eggs and... More

So glad I avoided Ixtapa and went out on a limb with Barra de Potosi, and in particular Villa Don Manuel. As my wife said upon returning to the grounds one night, "this place is enchanted, if I lived here I'd never leave." This pretty much sums it up. And as for Barra de Potosi itself, it made Zihuatanejo feel... More

It is a great place for a big family get away. Toby and Claudia are great hosts, we felt at home with the freedom to come and go. We had a fantastic different breakfast every day for 7 days. We occupied 5 of their 6 bedrooms. Villa don Manuel is rustic in the sense that there are not glass windows... More

Villa Don Manuel in Barra de Potosi, Mexico, is an unknown, charming b&b. The owners, Claudia and Toby, did everything in their power to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The room was quite comfortable with a large king size bed, and they brought in a cot for our 9 year old son. The room was extremely clean and... More
