My husband and 2 boys (age 5 and 8) just returned from 7 days in ZIH and 4 days in Barra de Potosi. We really enjoyed Eugen and Rita's Villas. They were impeccably clean and there was lots of room for all 4 of us. Nice fluffy towels are provided for the bath and the beach. I really loved the... More

My wife and I stayed at Villas-Tuparaiso for two nights in November 2011. This place was well above our expectations and the price was great. The rooms are very nice, clean and spacious - with high ceilings, good lighting and several fans. You have a refrigerator and two sinks in your room and the use of an entire shared kitchen... More

I would highly recommend staying with Eugen at Villas Tuparaiso. I was very impressed with how clean it is kept, and how well everything is maintained. Eugen also speaks English and Spanish, and seems to know almost everyone in town. If you need any help, he will gladly help you. He helped us arrange for fishing, and picked us up... More

This is the 3rd time that my wife & I have gone to Villas Tuparaiso (VT) for a long winter stay. This year we were there from January 6th to February 9th. Obviously, we like the place. The family that run VT are most attentive to their guests. They go out of their way to make sure all their patrons... More

We visited Barra de Potosi for two weeks in early January. This was our first time visiting Mexico. The friends ( from Vancouver, Canada) that we went down to "Barra" with, had been to Villas Tuparaiso three times and highly recommended it. We stayed at Villas-Tupariao and can't say enough good things about our stay. The rooms were large, comfortable... More

I have nothing but good to say about Villas-Tuparaiso. Eugene is on top of everything and the villas are extremely well maintained and clean as a pin. This was my first trip to interior Mexico and it could not have been a better experience. The people of Barra De Potosi are warm and friendly and despite my poor Spanish, no... More

My friends recommended this small hotel. After traveling three days in the interior of Mexico, I found this hotel to be an oasis in the midst of my trip. The rooms are beautifully appointed with kitchenettes and fabulous bathrooms. It was a pleasure to sit outside on the screened porch with friends that I already knew and friends that I... More

My traveling companions and I loved our stay at Villas Tuparaiso. Eugene and Rita were lovely hosts and even invited us to have breakfast with them when our room wasn't quite ready. The room itself was simple but very tasteful and comfortable. The screened in porch and communal kitchen also contributed to our enjoyable stay. The beach is a short... More

This is a lovely place to escape the usual touristy hotel scene. Wonderful rooms with access to a fabulously equipped shared kitchen with frig in your own room. The Barra de Potosi pueblo folks are very friendly and the beach is just a five minute walk down traditional streets. Fresh seafood abounds from the enramada's on the beach, but you... More
