This place is perfect. An unforgettable long weekend at Cruck Cottage. A fantastic location, isolated and quiet. A very warm welcome, a spotless cottage and even home made cake and fresh berries from the garden. If you're looking for somewhere to charge the batteries you've just found it.

Stayed at Cruck Barn this week, the welcome food package was just right. Gorgeous carrot cake, apple juice, milk, eggs and more. The cottage itself is surrounded by beautiful countryside and inside is spotlessly clean accommodation with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!

It's been a while since we stayed here, but I always promised to write a review, as this place was amazing. From the homemade welcome basket to the log burner to the mezzanine bedroom, it is pristine, yet homely and of superb quality. I proposed to my now fiancée at the top of Mam Tor, whilst staying in the Peak... More

My husband and I stayed at Cruck Barn last weekend for a wedding in Sheffield, and it was one of the nicest self catering places we've ever stayed at. The decor is really stylish - a mix of modern and traditional, making it appealingly eclectic, comfortable and contemporary (you may be able to tell I'm picky!). It's actually even better... More

This cottage is truly beautiful. As others have previously said, we stayed for four nights, but it was not long enough in this amazing place. It is situated surrounded by stunning, rolling hills with beautiful views. Inside the cottage has been wonderfully renovated and oozes quality and comfort. We enjoyed total privacy, a brilliant welcome pack and many extras. We... More

We have just spent 4 nights in this stunning barn conversion. We spent ages researching trying to find the perfect cottage in the Peak District and Crucks barn certainly met our high expectations. It is beautifully designed with every small detail thought of, the high quality welcome pack with amazing homemade jam and best carrot cake ! , quality bedding... More

You won't be disappointed with this cottage; it is actually how it is described in the marketing material. Really 5*. Beautifully appointed, great location, with lovely countryside and villages around. You won't be short of things to do but I would recommend just some chilling time in the cottage as it is so lovely. It is quite isolated so don't... More

We were so delighted when we stepped inside Cruck Barn Cottage and knew that the 4 nights we had booked to stay were just not going to be long enough. We were given a welcome basket of cake, eggs, apple juice, milk and coffee on our arrival (as well as fresh flowers). There were also delicious fresh tomatoes and fruit... More

Booked here for our honeymoon! So glad we booked it. Upon arrival we had cake, tea, local eggs and bread as well as home made jam! The cottage is flawless, we lots of extra touches. It's close to the road but no noise as the road is very quiet. We enjoyed many evenings on the sofa by the fire! The... More
