We had a fantastic stay at Bubnell Cliff Farm, as part of a 3 day walking holiday, hiking the Derwent Valley Heritage Way. We arrived at the B&B feeling really shattered and were warmly welcomed. There is a guest sitting room which is spacious and comfortable, it has a TV and a large selection of board games: a fire was... More

Everything is absolutely right about this lovely farm b&b. The welcome was warm and friendly, the bed was comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom were huge and spotless, and the log burner made the sitting room really cosy, Wifi was excellent both in the sitting room and bedroom, and before we left we enjoyed an excellent breakfast. And it was all... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. Sue and Chris are very friendly and helpful. This is a working farm so expect typical farmyard scenes and a bit of mud. Breakfast is great and Sue will cater to your demands! Bedroom large and warm. Bathroom huge. Only downside was the temperamental toilet. Once mastered it works ok. Great views from our... More

Friendly informative hosts. Very spacious rooms - we had private bathroom and kingsize bedroom. Very comfortable and lovely views. We were amused by antics of cows and calves in field next to farmhouse and had house martins popping up outside windows all the time. Delicious breakfast with so much choice. Would definitely stay again.

We were lucky to stay at Bubnell Cliff Farm very near Chatsworth House which was on our list of "must see" places. This working farm had a very comfortable room and spacious bathroom for our one night stay with a delicious breakfast in the morning. Our hosts were very accommodating with tea upon our arrival and an extra early breakfast... More

This working farm was one of the best places we have stayed. Chris was nice and friendly making us at home right way, they have a lovely farm house and the room was 1st class. We met sue in the morning and she was equally friendly providing us with ab excellent breakfast setting us up for our walk to Tideswell,... More

We decided to visit the peak district for our first time this weekend, and choose to stay here based on the lovely looking rooms on the website and the great value. This was exactly what we arrived to, a really nice double bedroom and absolutely huge bathroom. We had been cycling in the rain, and to arrive and put on... More

We arrived here after dark, by way of a lift from the kind farmer at the neighbouring farm - having lost our way -if you are using Google maps be sure to put in the Cliff to distinguished it from Bubnell Farm. I was walking with my dog who was also kindly accommodated in a loose box with plenty of... More

My wife has always wanted to visit Chatsworth House, so when planning our recent trip to the UK I came across this B&B. The day of our drive down from Edinburgh was very wet in the extreme, so by the time we eventually got to the farm we were tired and just wanted to rest. Sue was out when we... More

My husband and I enjoyed a two night break at Bubnell Cliff Farm. The purpose of our visit 'up north' was to visit Chatsworth, the towers of which can be seen from the garden of the farm. Sue and Chris were very welcoming hosts and Chris was very patient with us asking, what must have been to him, daft farming... More
