This family-run operation is located near the center of Custonaci. It is a nice-looking property with a pleasant courtyard as its central focal point. The rooms however, were pretty "rustic" for my tastes. Basic furnishings, a small bathroom and sparse extras define the place. I returned to Il Cortile for the third time, this time for a week. The food from their kitchen is IMHO World Class, they call it home cooking. Wild greens, combined with pasta and rich broths are delicious and nourishing. The cassatelle (a crescent shaped type of a ravioli) were magically light. My room was very large, had its own... More

We spent just one night at Il Cortile, but it was a very pleasant stay. Their swimming pool was an excelent option to refresh us as we had arrived at Trapani airport in the afternoon. The room was very clean and tidy, although the air conditioning was not 100% effective. We had dinner at the hotel patio under the trees... More

We had a smoking room eventhough I can't stand the smell of smoke, but they clean so well that I didn't notice it. We had a balcony also. The ac worked great, and they had the things you... More

Il Cortile was described in a June 2001 Washington Post article as having some of the best food in Italy. I visited the restaurant in 2008 and was astonished at the quality and amazing dishes I was served. I determined to stay at the hotel and really get an update on the 2001 story. The room was spacious, clean and... More
