My husband and I had a wonderful overnight stay here--definitely a highlight of our 2 week, cross-country road trip. Shared family accommodation worried me at first because privacy is important to us. I was afraid that we would be the only couple staying on the farm among families with kids, but this was not the case. In fact, there were... More

It was a pity we only had 1 night before flying off the next day. My family stayed in the cottage. It had all the amenities that you can think of. What irked me when I stayed at other acommodations was that, some supplied soap but not shampoo, some would provide can opener but some don't. We had everything that... More

A dedicated B&B home. Nice rooms and set up. Pete and Gaye are great hosts, warm, friendly and helpful. They've been doing it a while and know what they are doing. Farm had sheep and alpacas. Breakfast was really good with options. Good for a single night stay. Cheapest room at $160 gets you a separate bedroom but the bathroom... More

We stayed for two nights in Pete's farm. The place is located in Rangiora, which is about 30km away from the Christchurch airport. Peter (the host) has a farm size of about 100 acres, with about 200 sheeps and some Alpacas. They also have a sheep dog which helped move the sheeps around whenever Peter wants to do a demo... More

We could only stay 1 night instead of the 3 we planned (due to rugby being moved to Auckland after Christchurch earthquake). Good: Kids shearing the sheep Dinner and Breakfast - home cooking at a reasonable price Friendly and welcoming - it's a home not a B&B really Improve: Had to sleep 4 in a double room. Not ideal when... More

The hosts are gracious and anxious to please. The sheep farm tour is fascinating. The accomodations are a bit basic and the food good and simple, but it's an interesting experience nonetheless. Worth the visit. More

we stayed for 4 nights in pete's farm. it was a most wonderful stay. pete and gaye were the most wonderful and generous hosts. their house is far more luxurious than what it appears to be on the website. their farm animals are cute and we had a great time watching and cuddling their pet sheep. great place to relax....
