We visited this hotel 2 years ago and due to bad weather we were confined to the hotel. We took another chance, knowing that even if the weather is bad, this is just a lovely relaxing hotel. However, we had fabulous weather with beautiful blue skies and snow capped mountains. The rooms have fabulous views of Mt Cook . Restaurant... More

This hotel is extremely remote and not for those who wish to visit bars and restaurants, as there are not any within walking distance. The room I was allocated although in the hotel complex was a good 10 minutes walk from the main part of the hotel and I felt very isolated and it's not good if you have difficulty... More

Decent rooms at a slightly inflated price but given the remoteness of the location, not unacceptably so. Make no mistake; you are here for the location and everything else is secondary! The food in the restaurant was alright but nothing to rave about. The staff was helpful in coordinating the two tours that we had scheduled while staying there. The... More

We stayed at the Hermitage Motels, one bedroom with kitchen and bathroom a few minutes drive from the hotel. When we checked in we got zero information on any of the restaurants/cafes for service times and there was no information in the room. When I asked about it they said they changed every year so don't print them up. But... More

We stayed in mid august and were treated to stunning weather, blue skies, no clouds and no wind. We did the two night special. On the first night the restaurant was not open (due to the time of year) so went to the backpackers lodge down the road for a jovial meal. Great service from hermitage staff as we were... More

We drove up to Mt Cook and took the Motel under the Hermitage Hotel package for families. It included the Explorer Pass as well which enabled us to enter the movie and museum area for free. Continental Breakfast was also included. The motel is nothing to shout about but the views were magnificent! It snowed on our 2nd night there... More

Nice resort with fabulous view. Stayed in a Mt Cook room and though it is small, the views are unparalleled. There is a binoculars provided in the room but it dont seem to be working well. A pity that we reached the resort late and have to leave early, hence, we did not get to enjoy the facilities and activities... More

Stayed one night. Hotel location is amazing - view from our room breathtaking and we were on the first floor. Room nicely renovated and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurants and bar well priced.

We stayed here for two nights in a chalet which contained a double and two single beds. The room was cosy but comfortable, with a small kitchen and bathroom. The view from our chalet was what made our stay so special though. The views of Mount Cook and the surrounding area are absolutely stunning- words can't do it justice! I... More

Hotel rooms have been upgraded since our visit 2 years ago. It's. A great improvement . Rooms were small but well appointed and clean and comfortable. Would have preferred fresh milk in room fridge rather than small pots do UHF milk. Complimentary continental breakfast was good with large selection of cereals and fresh fruit Front staff desk very helpful and... More
