My wife and I ate dinner here twice when we stayed near Algonquin Provincial Park. I had researched places to eat before we left and found very little in the area (it is a park area after all). The Mad Musher seemed like our best choice. Based on the name, I was kind of expecting a sports bar setting, but... More

We were greeted by a very grumpy person who grunted and was clearly not a happy person and possibly hated his job? The food was appalling, some luke warm, some cold and some over cooked. We told the very nice and helpful waitress who was clearly embarrassed but by that time our appetite had all but disappeared. The french fries... More

Monday Sept 30/13 we stopped here to try to have lunch, since we were on a two day sightseeing road trip starting in Belleville, to Orillia, northeast through Algonquin Park, and back south to Belleville. At 1:40 pm we walked in, waited as the sign requested "Please wait to be seated". Waited an unacceptable length of time, without even being... More

My friend and I decided to do some back country exploring in Algonquin Park by kayak in mid September so we needed some reasonable accommodations not far from the park. But what we found exceeded our expectations. First off the room we had faced the river with a large picture window. Looking further we found we had access to a... More

Fabulous food that is made fresh daily on premises. Portions are very generous & a variety of food to choose from on the menu. Desserts are to die for!!!! Prices are reasonable, be sure to sit on the verandah as you will get a lovely view of the Madawaska river.

This last trip of 21 people on a birding field trip stopped in for a lunch. It was very busy and the service was very slow, but we enjoyed the rest, the food was good, the draft beer was excellent. I have been here 2 times prior when it wasn't so busy and would gladly visit it again.

My husband and I stopped in at The Mad Musher for lunch when we were exploring around the town of Whitney. We were pleasantly surprised by the choices on the menu and the specials of the day we weren't sure what to expect when we stopped but...it was worth the stop! The waitress steated us in the back dinning area... More

My husband and I had a wonderful breakfast here on a recent stay in Whitney. The breakfast skillet (two eggs any style) over a very generious portion of home fried potatoes (which were home made) and green/red peppers and onions with ham was the best resturant breakfast I have ever had. Service was very friendly.
