Mi Solar is a nicely updated property. It's a lovely old court building that has colonial charm with modern comfort. It's convent to town and easy walking distance to the national park. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Some English spoken. It's a great alternative to cookie cutter chain hotels. A good... More

My spouse and I, as well as two friends, checked into this hotel after a disappointing night at another nearby property (check my other Uruapan review). The front-desk staff at Mi Solar was very courteous and accommodating even on very short notice. The bellhop and bar staff were also very generous and helpful. The rooms have actually been updated since... More

Highly recommendable hotel. Stayed in room 51, which is Standard but had beautiful woodwork, was bright and airy, had everything we needed and was quiet. Wi-fi works well and they are going to open a new Hotel Restaurant across the street. Can't wait to try it when it opens!

My husband and I spent one night at this cozy abode when in town visiting family. It was such a spectacular choice and a pleasant surprise. The hotel itself is incredibly well maintained and altough our room was on the smaller side it had all the amenities we needed. I would definately stay here again as the room, service and... More

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms are very nice. It was a wonderful place to stay. It makes you love Mexico even more. It was one of the best places we've stayed in Mexico. We would go back in a heartbeat.

The hotel is very, very good, nice old hacienda style wood carved decoration all over. Very good atention, from front desk, helpers etc. Small but nice room on the third floor (no elevator) with great view. Breakfast included very good traditional local food. Very well located in downtown Uruapan. Higly recomended.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Mi Solar for the Artisani Festival. The B&B is quite modern and very well maintained, clean and non-smoking. Our room on the second floor, although small, was clean, comfortable and quiet. Most of the staff speak english and were willing to help us with our spanish and were always attentive and helpful and... More

Just returned from a sunny, warm wonderful trip to Morelia/Patzcuaro and Uruapan. The Mi Solar is a quiet oasis, close to the sights and main Plaza. We stayed in the suite which was on the top floor with lots of natural lighting, sitting area, very clean and spacious. The room included breakfast and you could order anything off the menu,... More

I picked this hotel for it's handy location to the city centre and the positive comments from trip advisor. We stayed 2 nights while we climbed Paricutin Volcano at the nearby town of Angahuan. The hotel included a hearty breakfast every morning. There was a parking lot available for our car. We were a block from the zocalo, market, museums,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. It is right in the middle of this beautiful town, and it was immaculate and modern. Breakfast (included) was our choice of several menu items. The hotel is in a beautifully restored colonial mansion w/ an interior patio and service was warm and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
