I checked in with our travel group. Checked my I phone for wifi, battery was dead from taking pictures all day. I laid it on a table waiting for my luggage with the charger. Went next door to visit friends. Bell Boy came with the luggage, let him in with the key and remained in the hall. 5 minutes later... More

Stayed for one night with a booking made directly with the hotel. The hotel staff are professional, all speak English and are probably the friendliest most accommodating staff of any well run operation we have stayed in. Check in was easy and fast. The common areas and grounds are charming and well kept. We enjoyed a room on the third... More

Just arrived home for a weeklong trip to Uruapan. This hotel looks wonderful and is situated next to a park that is definitely worth a visit. The service from the staff while I was there was nothing short of great. The rooms were well laid out and mostly comfortable. The beds however felt like a sleeping bag laid over a... More

Just went to the restaurant of this hotel for our Anniversary, and it was fantastic!! Indoor atmosphere was most enjoyable, and the outdoor dining looked appealing as well, surrounded with gardens. They offer a wide-range menu, and the food was excellent (enchiladas suizas and the trout dinner). Wine "list" is very limited. We made due, however with a Cabernet from... More

One of the fancier hotels in Uruapan, love walking on the grounds and seeing the lovely gardens, pool and going to the restaurant. They have delicious Mexican-themed brunch on the weekends. We've never stayed here but have been to the brunch several times. Lovely ommeletes, stew (Pozole and Menudo), and all kinds of yummy Mexican dishes. Always try to come... More

My first step into the courtyard set a beautiful stage for this nice hotel. Then seeing the exquisite national park right outside the restaurant patio made the impression even greater. Location is not central to town but quite easily accessible by car/taxi. The rooms are nice and clean with a character to match the grounds. I enjoyed the restaurant for... More

Location-wise - just steps from the lush National Park and the beautiful river, the Mansion is hard to beat. The hotel itself is actually more of a motel layout, but the rooms are nice and clean, definitely at hotel-standard, even if they don't have much character. The grounds are another story, as the inner courtyard is quite pretty and makes... More

Fantastic gardens, the suites overlooking the park have a great view and are very comfortable.

To our surprise, the hotel is well situated, but the customer service was lacking big time. At the restaurant we ordered what ever the chef recommended. Trout at its worst, we tried telling the chef in our kindest words we wanted something different, they accepted, but still charged us the Trout which we barely touched. The rooms are very rustic,... I have stayed in this hotel 3 or 4 time and each one was a delight. It is not in the center of town and is next to the entry to the National Park, both a plus in my book. The service is always attentive, the food excellent, the rooms extra clean. A guitarist plays on the weekends and the... More
