While cross country skiing in Ramsau am Dachstein in March 2014, we enjoyed exquisite lunches of the highest quality at Peter Rosegger's Alpengasthof. We especially enjoyed their salad with goat's cheese and pumpkin seed dressing. Great view of the Schladming ski slopes and wonderful service and hospitality with valuable tips on skiing from Christoph. A must stop while in Ramsau!... More

Fantastic hospitality in all aspects: from our reservation inquiry to arrival, meals, and details for skiing, this guesthouse was wonderful. We stayed in a room facing the Dachstein and their little barn and spent a lot of time watching the animals. This is a great location for xc skiing - both skate and classic. ...and very nice staff - a wonderful place for lunch or dinner! Make sure to try their desserts. Especially the organic Kaiserschmarrn made from home-ground dinkel flour is wonderful. Also, don't be shy to try their blood sausage fry-up - it might not look so pretty but tastes wonderful.
