We stayed in room 6, we arrived at 10.50pm after a long drive and were given a friendly welcome and offered food and drink. The room was pretty and clean but had sloping floors and doors this did not stop us from enjoying it though. The shower was very small especially for my 6 foot husband who found the shower... More

Really enjoy my time here! We had Room 4 which was lovely; good sized, clean, warm and really cosy. The shower is powerful and the room had everything you need. The staff are so friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We enjoyed drinks in the bar on a comfy sofa by the roaring fire in the afternoon and... More

Truly wonderful Valentines stay. Our room was clean comfortable and well presented with the addition of a rose and chocolates adding to the already warm welcome. The evening meal was extremely tasty and well proportioned! The attentive but not overly so staff catered for our every need before during and after, supplying us with coffee while we loosened our belts... More

Room No 6 Standard double. Husband booked this as a bargain getaway for Valentines (a week early)and his 100% record of 'never picking a bad one' is still intact. The welcome we received was warm and friendly and we were taken straight up to the room even though we arrived early. The room itself was as it stated a standard... More

We travelled to Sussex to attend a friend's 70th birthday. we were only there one night, but were made very welcome. Room 4 is probably the best. Cosy, if a little cool because of the high winds outside, and the windows are old! however, it didn't spoil anything. Breakfast was excellent. Generous portions!

We had one night at the New Inn in January 2015. While the pub is fairly ordinary, the room was way above that, modern, clean, comfortable. And at £56 for a double for B&B, it was value that couldn't be bettered. Staff friendly and helpful too.

A quaint village inn staying for one night only as working in the area. Staff very efficient and friendly, room adequate but took a while to get used to the sloping floor. Bathroom and bedroom both dusty and required a clean, plenty complimentary tea/coffee available. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, food freshly prepared and cooked to order,... More

stayed there one night a few days ago. This Inn has a historic feel, floors and ceilings are not straight (the wooden beams have moved during the centuries). The view from our window was stunning, looking towards a magnificent church and ancient cemetery with those traditional very very old tombstones. Winchelsea is definitely worth a visit! However we found the... More

We stayed at New Inn for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It is a fantastic inn; staff are both friendly and professional and absolutely no request is too much trouble. The suite was large with the most comfortable bed ever! Coffee-making facilities were second to none with a Nespresso machine. The en suite bathroom is modern with a... More

We stayed here overnight and the room was comfortable with a sofa for tv watching. Quaint view over the local church and church yard. Ate in the restaurant, meal very good I had fish and it was very tasty. I cannot eat gluten so was pleasantly surprised when I was told the gf choices. They even had a gf bun... More
