We were on a week's holiday in hastings, we began our week on the 12th July 2014 at the Highlands Inn. On Monday the 14th we checked out (refer to my review for the Highlands Inn to find out why). We were passing the lodge on Sunday the 13th and decided to call in for a carvery, it was lovely... More

We stopped at The Lodge just by chance around 4 pm last Sunday and were lucky enough to be able to have a lovely lunch from the carvery. It was late in the day for lunch and to early for dinner, so we hadn't really expected to get anything nice anywhere, but we were wrong!! The staff were welcoming the... More

We have just got back from an all but too brief visit to Sussex. It was almost a spur of the moment thing and went on line originally to book a travelodge/premier inn type place to stay and found that they were all booked up, and how glad we were too. Booked thru Late rooms.com, we got a ground floor... More

We have just spent 4 nights at The Lodge, which we very much enjoyed. The Lodge is a good value budget hotel. Although it is on a busy main road (Hastings to Dover), our room was completely quiet with its own front door and overlooking open countryside. Our room had attractive internal brickwork, was of a good size with an... More

Great place for carvery. Friendly staff and wonderful with children. Clean and bright restaurant/bar. We had the carvery, huge Yorkshire puds! While my youngest had fish and chips, which was a very good size.

We had our wedding reception at The Lodge in November and we couldn't have been more pleased with the amazing staff and their venue. I would recommend them for any special occasion, a night away or even just popping by for a bite to eat and a drink. When planning our reception Toby couldn't have been more helpful and he... More

Bank holiday Monday & we decided to go for a day out Driving from Folkestone we noticed The Lodge which had a sign 'food served all day'. On the way back from Hastings at 2.30pm we decided to pop in. What a lovely surprise. The lunch was really great. We had the carvery which was good even at that time.... More

We had the family room, room 12, which was fine - very clean and quiet but no view to speak of. I phoned prior to arrival to book dinner on the Sunday - and here is the only time it feel down - no one said the usual a la carte menu (on the website) wasn't available and it was... More
