Wickham Manor Farm is a 16th century National Trust property and is situated in a stunning location. My husband and I stayed for one night to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we had an unforgettable stay. On our arrival we were greeted by Sally who was most hospitable and took us to the Tudor Room which we had reserved.... More

Wickham Manor Farm is in a stunning location, situated really close to the beach, a short car journey away from the centre of town - yet feels totally peaceful and quiet. The lawn stretches out for what feels like miles, and it's a gorgeous spot to really relax and get away from it all. It's run by a wonderfully friendly... More

We stayed here when visiting Great Dixter two weeks ago. The farmhouse is very old and characterful, so much so that it. was chosen as the location for Sherlock Holmes' home for the recently released film 'Mr Holmes'. So Sally and her husband had hosted Sir Ian McKellan and the other stars of the film for several weeks last year,... More

We received a warm welcome from our host Sally on arrival, and loved the characterful 16th century farmhouse with its beamed ceilings and walls, low doors and slopey floors! We had the family room with a very spacious double bedroom / lounge and adjoining twin room and bathroom. The bed was super comfortable and the room had great views out... More

We have stayed at 'our country retreat' many times which is probably indicative of just how much we enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. The location is brilliant with many walks around, either to the coast itself or around Icklesham, Fairlight and many more. Maps are always available to help you. The rooms (3) are always clean and well furbished with tea/coffee/bickies... More

We love staying in quirky old properties & Wickham Manor Farm is no exception. Beautiful 16th Century building in a stunning rural setting on a working farm. Really warm welcome from Sally & the resident dogs, lovely room with gorgeous oak beams & the most wonderful wide oak window sill seat! Great location to explore Rye, or walks around the... More

To my mind the bed is by far the most critical factor in a B&B; get little sleep in a poor bed and it doesn't matter how good anything else is. I can assure you that the 4 poster bed in the Tudor room more than fulfilled its primary requirement - we both slept like there was no tomorrow to... More

We stayed for two nights in the lovely farmhouse, surrounded by sheep and stunning views over the marshland to the sea. Sally made us very welcome and comfortable, and this is clearly a busy working farm with a harvest to bring in. Our bedroom, looking out over the garden to New Gate and the sea, was very comfortable, breakfast good,... More

While Sally runs the B & B, as well as working the farm, Mason and son are about with a ready smile and cheery word. The rooms are situated in a 16th century building, still with all it's character and charm. They are clean, tidy and ready supply of tea etc. including biscuits. Bathroom is basic but clean and plenty... More

We stayed here with our toddler son, and were made very welcome. The farmhouse is in a beautiful spot overlooking the English Channel, and we enjoyed seeing the animals on the farm. A great base to explore the Cinque Ports.
