Sally and Mason opened up their home to us when my daughter and myself stayed at their lovely farm house. We booked at very short notice, and were immediately welcomed and made to feel as part of the family. The bed was very comfortable; the attention to detail was lovely; the breakfasts yummy and both Sally, Mason and Robert always... More

Another fab few days at wickham manor farm with Sally and Mason, beautifull rooms ,absolutely wonderfull English breakfast, kept us filled up for ages!! Sally was most welcoming as per usual, as was rest of the family, including adorable Harry, the sausage nicker!! We have already booked next year as Sally starts getting bookings in very early. Can highly recommend... More

This is a working farm with an amazing history. But the guest is not made to feel very special or valued. Clarence the 12 year old sheep and the owner's son were our welcoming committee. On the plus side, the bed was the most comfortable in the country and the sense of history is humbling.

Do stay here for: -Peace and quiet in a rural setting. -A real sense of history in the property. -Quirkiness - a pet 12yo ram called Clarence and Harry the breakfast dog. Don't stay here if you are looking for: -Attention to detail and cleanliness. -You want to feel like a valued guest. - A good breakfast. This is a... More

We only stayed one night but will definitely return for a longer stay. The manor and grounds are stunning and we loved the feeling of utter remoteness despite the bustling town of Rye being only a few miles away.Sally was a charming host and we would love to have tried their wine and explored more of the working farm and... We stayed four wonderful nights at Wickham Manor and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sally was extremely hospitable and showed us to the Tudor Room. This was a beautiful room overlooking the front of the house and the yard and attracted the evening sun. Our room had a four poster bed, en suite facilities and had plenty of storage space. The... Checked in for a break with our two children. Amazing building and very hospitable hostess, Sally. Great breakfast and ever so peaceful. Under 1 mile walk to the village of Winchelsea centre and New Inn (did not try it). The farm is a working one and has a vineyard selling it's own sparkling wine. Certainly would go again.

The Manor was very much a random choice for us, when the opportunity came up to take a last minute break for a couple of days ... and lucky us ! We really felt that we had hit the jackpot. A beautiful old house with generously sized guest rooms separate, but not isolated, from the family accommodation. This working farm... More

We have never stayed anywhere quite like this. A very historic building with beams, huge wooden doors and thick walls. This is a place full of character, so don't expect everything to be as it would be in the Hilton. It's an amazing location and is, literally, in the middle of nowhere. Some slightly negative comments from other reviewers about... More
