My partner and I fancied a couple of nights away from London one weekend and St Margaret's on Cliffe was only one and a half hours away. We arrived Friday evening after work and on check in we were told the room rate for both nights, it was lower than when I booked which was a lovely suprise! We were... more

Well not quite Fawlty Towers, as the night we endured here wasn't at all funny. My partner booked this hotel so we could have a relaxing break from the stress of working in London. We arrived at 1.35pm on a Saturday and, after signing in, asked whether we could take lunch. The lady blew breath, "You'll have to be ready... more

I stayed here for a few nights, looking for a good standard hotel that had a country feel, but close enough to facilities and restaurants on an evening. I must say I wasn't disappointed. Location is perfect, especially if weather is good. The hotel is located in a small picturesque village with a couple of pubs yards away, a walk... more

Allthough the hotel's website looks very fresh and modern, the hotel doesn't live up to the expectations. The room was poorly cleaned and smelled damp. The staff wasn't very interested or helpfull. They charge extra for a cooked breakfast and the brakfast which isn;t that special. i would suggest to look for an other hotel near Dover, there are plenty. more

My partner and I went to stay at the White Cliffs Hotel as a quiet getaway on our own. We had a really enjoyable time. The hotel is very quaint and tastefully decorated. The staff where very friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms were very comfortable. We had the most incredible meal at the Bay Restaurant and would... more

Arrived early evening. Shown to rooms. No heating on in rooms, very cold and very damp. We were told heating would be turned on. Was told on arrival, around 7pm that restaurant was closed. Was forced to drive back into Dover to get a meal. returned later in the evening, around 11pm to find the hotel and bar locked. Rooms... more

I'd like to share with you a story I recently heard... A young lady was waiting at an airport for her flight. She became a little peckish and nipped into a shop and bought a bag of her favourite chocolate chip cookies. She took the cookies put them in her handbag then found a seat in the airport lounge next...

We have just returned from spending a night at the White Cliffs Hotel and I have to say I was totally blown away but the exceptional levels of service we received. We arrived around 3pm on the Saturday and parked up in the overflow car park to the back of the hotel. The hotel is very easy to find and... more
