Relatively charming little hotel in St Margaret's Cliffe, outside the grey sadness of Dover (often referred to as one of sections of the world's colon - and best avoided..). We're staying here as a family, so get to see some of the rooms.. They are spotlessly clean, warm and basic, but with very creaky beds and not too much sound... More

We booked a one night stay via Secret Escapes - the double room we were given on checking in was in the annex, which was very average / tired in decor with a small bathroom that could have done with some modernisation. It wasn't until we came home that I realised we had actually paid for an Executive room (which... More

Last weekend we visited the White Cliffs Hotel in St Margaret at Cliffe near Dover. Perfect place to explore Kent and the cliffs. Very nice hotel and owner who gave us a warm welcome. Also a stay with a big dog like ours was not a problem. Good food and atmosphere in the restaurant. Room and bathroom could have been... More

What a fantastic find. We booked a last minute, 2-4-1 deal for 2 nights in the four poster room. Lovely room, friendly and attentive staff. Fabulous and reasonable priced food. Breakfast buffet excellent and hot breakfast addition was very high quality. Our baby loved the freshly baked croissants. A beautiful area with lots to do, we will return. Only tiny... More

Booked at short notice, looking for a dog friendly hotel, and had a great surprise. Excellent dinner in restaurant, really good night's sleep in the "Pines" family apartment and very good quality continental breakfast. The interior decoration in the dining room is beautuiful, and there the atmosphere is very relaxed. Would come again.

The hotel looks so pretty when you get to the lovely village of St Margrets at Cliffe the hotel looks like it belongs on a film set. A collection of buildings including the cutest mews cottages. The family are very hands on offering a very warm and welcoming experience. The Sunday lunch was what you hope for when you go... More

Had a great 2 nights at this lovely hotel. The hotel is old so some of the floors slope but this adds to its charm. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. There was a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Had a meal in the restaurant one night which was delicious.

Convenient location for the Eurostar or ferry to France. We stayed here two years ago. We had a room in the mews which was quiet and comfortable, we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and had a good experience. We stayed again a week ago and had an executive room, which was spacious but with very poor sound proofing... More

Stayed here on way back from France. So easy to find. Just minutes from the ferry. Food was great, room was lovely, food was fantastic. Loved the continental breakfast option so you didn't feel the need to 'get your money's worth' by having the cooked option. Staff really friendly. Will definitely recommend. Really, really good value - especially with three... More
