Stayed this weekend at the White Cliffs Hotel for a walking weekend with friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful but the best part of the stay was the food! Which was amazing. Ok room slightly dated but clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back and recommend it to our family and... More

Nice place for a short break. Well situated in the village and a nice walk down to the bay and along the cliffs. Hotel is a bit tired around the edges but comfortable/good friendly atmosphere and the food is good but limited choices of desserts and a good bar snacks (loved the chorizo/fried bread). Couple of issues, but didn't detract... More

Thanks ever so much for your feedback and your helpful plumbing tips too. As a kid I grew up at Wallett's Court (our other hotel just up the road) now, that place had issues! Plumbing issues! Wallett's Court is a Jacobean manor that my folks rescued from dereliction, when I first lived there aged around 7 years old at the... More

This was a great short stay for visiting the white cliffs which are a short drive away. Stylish decor. Rooms in adjoining buildings with easy access to main hotel. Extra car parking behind the hotel. Lovely bar area with great snacks and a restaurant adjoining it. Food was nothing special and service was slow considering the restaurant was rather empty... More

We stayed here over easter holiday for three days we complained that the room was very noisy and COLD. They said they were full and could not move us so I thought fine we will have another night of no sleep fortunately my son who we were visiting got another hotel for us. The room had broken light fittings and... More

Crikey, it looks like we really upset someone here. As you can see from all the other happy reviews this isn't how we roll… The place is fully centrally heated and every room has radiators with thermostatic valves so every guest can control the temperature in their own rooms. On checking these guests in I did point this out as... More

As a last minute idea we booked for a Saturday night. We had a great time - the hotel staff were very warm, friendly and attentive, the food great and our room was clean and very comfy. We loved it so much that we are going back in 2 weeks!

What a lovely hotel in the village of St Margaret's at Cliffe just a few miles from Dover Port. Lots of character, friendly and attentive staff, and delicious food. We loved the attention to detail, and the little extra touches like (glass) bottled mineral water in the bedrooms. Toiletries contained no nasty ingredients and it was obvious they are very... More

We have just returned from a wonderful week away... Our first three nights we spent at white cliffs. We have had a lovely time. I do note some of the reviews... rooms are a little small and perhaps in need of a little TLC - walls do seem thin but didn't bother us as only had a neighbour one night...... More

This was just a random night away for us, and the staff really help provide a wonderful experience. They helped me pick out a special dessert for my boyfriend ahead of time and had it delivered to our room. Reception was lovely and warm when we arrived, and it had the feel of an inn with a bit of bustle... More

Myself and my partner had a Secret Escapes deal for this hotel and were looking forward to having a relaxing night away, this wasn't possible. I didn't go to sleep until 5am(!!) as the walls are paper thin so I could hear everything (I mean everything) that the rooms next to us were doing. Also, I don't think that you're... More

We stayed overnight for my birthday. My husband had been ill and was looking forward to a relaxing stay. The welcome was warm and we were soon seated near the log fire with a welcome drink and sandwiches. Do try the ball park chips- skinny chips with the addition of garlic and parsley. The room was comfortable with quality toiletries... More
