My husband and I stayed at The Old Vicarage for my birthday and to visit the St. Nicholas Christmas Fayre in York. Only a 25-minute drive away from York, it was a convenient location. Our room was small, yet well-appointed with all the amenities we needed and the breakfast was lovely. Certainly a great value for our money. More

In an area of Yorkshire devoid of reasonably priced quality hotels this B & B is a gem. B eautifully furnished with individually designed bedrooms and complemented by a first class breakfast menu this is the place to stay. In a quiet village location and not far from Selby, York and Scarborough are also within easy reach for the tourist,... More

We had a lovely weekend in Yorkshire. The Old Vicarage is an ideal setting for visiting a lot of the tourist spots. It's a lovely olde worde property with oak beams etc. and has a real wow factor. Although the Old Vicarage has no licence, the Kellington Manor just around the corner (5 minutes walk) serves excellent meals. Definitely have... More

Nothing was too much trouble for hotel owner Christine who took obvious pride in what she did. The room was spacious and very comfortable with lots of wardrobe and hanger space. The room also had a very pleasant view over the well manicured gardens. There was a couple of pubs within easy and flat walking distance. We went to Kellington... More

I stayed here as a surprise birthday weekend and I loved it. The Old Vicarage has lots of charm, the rooms are well furnished and spotlessly clean. Located in beautiful gardens which our room overlooked. Christine, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful in advising on places to eat and tips on how to get to York, places to go... More

I stay here twice a year, it's allways friendly, very clean & comfortable, the beds are good quality & linen is not the normal guest house/hotel standard. Their is ample private, safe car parking, which is good in this area, (stayed in the Ferrybridge Premier Inn 5 years ago, 5 vans broken into over 2 nights) Highly recommended. More

After staying for 2 nights one week, I left with the parting statement see you next week! This sentence was taken as being a firm booking when it was a polite parting greeting. The crazy woman "Abraham" then proceeded to speak and shout over me for 20 mins trying toexplain that anyone who repeats that sentence is making a booking... More
