My partner and I stayed here on a Friday night on route to Brighton and we had a great night. Very warm welcome on arrival and on a cold night the roaring fire in the bar was a real luxury. We decided to eat in the restaurant and the food was great - I ate from the specials menu and... More

We have stayed in many different hotels and used this as a stop over. Our experiences have been many and varied and so we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff were excellent and the rooms were clean. They have obviously been refurbished in the recent past. The heating had packed up that day, but these things happen and... More

The Greyhound has a nice old world feel about it, log fires, oak beams and lots of character. The staff were all very helpful and eager to please, especially the chef. The hotel had two large parties booked in for special occasions the night we were staying but the chef still managed to organise a couple of delicious bar snacks... More

Chalfont St Peter is such a lovely little place, a real old england village. The grey hound is a pretty english pub and the pub and restaurant were lovely. The room I was allocated however was a bit disappointing. The website made it look like a boutique hotel but the room was very average, a bit shabby and dated, and... More

Stayed at the Greyhound along with 3 of my work collegues whilst we attended a course. We all agreed it was a very good two weeks, the staff couldn't do enough for us, special mentions for Mark (excellent cocktails) Regan (Always wore a smile) Lily (good advise) and Chris (nice coffee). The rooms were well furnished and with it being... More

This is a great little hotel with brilliant staff. Very helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant was lovely and again the staff were full of fun and converstion if you wanted it. It is a bit tatty upstairs, but I think that is part of its charm... the rooms are clean and full of interest, huge open fireplaces and beams.... More

I booked this through booking.com where it had ok reviews, then checked Trip Advisor after (stupidly) and it had awful reviews. I went with an open mind though as we had the 'King Suite' and it was only £75 and we were only using it as a stopover on the way to a wedding. The food in the restaurant was... More

This is a lovely, historic coaching inn situated in a lovely village. The restaurant, bar and beer garden are all beautifully decorated and welcoming. However, the rooms are tired, in need of decorating and sadly lacking in the nice little touches that make a stay special. The bathrooms appear to be newly renovated with all fittings relatively modern in appearance... More

Helpful staff. Room was comfortable although a bit worn - carpets and curtains were stained and duvet covers were clean but ripped! Sounds awful but it wasn't as the room was well appointed with everything we needed. No double glazing as it is a listed building, so quite a bit or road noise, particularly as we had windows open. Had... More
