Excellent food, stupendous views, enjoyed the pool and games room, the open fire in the lounge and we had a lovely bedroom. Some tired decor but nothing to fuss over. My husband walked down to the sea before breakfast one day and found a colony of seals enjoying the rocks. So it was a lovely autumn trip. What made this... More

Impressive but tired looking building lovely outlook over the sea.Food was really good and the staff were also. We had a strange room with a fire exit between the room and the bathroom, but it was nice enough. The swimming pool was full if 3 people were in it.

Stayed here last night.I have always wanted to sweep up the driveway on a blustery November day as I imagined Raven Hall to be like Mandalay in the film "Rebecca" Well the weather was warm and sunny and unbelievably this hotel had LUPINS and HOLLYHOCKS in flower in the garden yes in NOVEMBER! What a great place this is I... More

The good: excellent food, fantastic location and scenery, clean and tidy, but... the room was very average (except the view which you pay extra for), furniture laminate peeling, dead lights, very small bathroom, hard to control shower water temperature, no wifi in room (only public areas), only one pack of biscuits for two! Rooms do vary, but it's hit and... More

Having just come back from a two day visit I can definitely recommend a stay here. Firstly after requesting a cot and sea view I received an email almost instantly accepting my requests! Very impressive. Upon arriving youre instantly impressed by the building and location. Room was lovely with great views of the north Sea and robins hood bay. It's... More

Just back from a most amazing night away at the Raven Hall Hotel. Booked 2 days before and asked for a bay view (£10 extra) and oh what a view! We were given room 114, the best room in the hotel with huge windows looking out on Robin Hoods Bay. The room is large with en suite bathroom and a... More

On entering this grand old place you are met with an abundance of history. There are some beautiful Art Deco touches all around. The food is extremely tasty and you are served in style by lovely staff. I always try and visit when I am in the area. Although I've not actually stayed in the hotel itself I have stayed... More

Enjoyed our 3 night stay. Booked a lodge and definitely worth the money as the views, the veranda and patio area really made it. The log fire is a nice touch. Breakfasts are good and the service was excellent. There are some nice walks near by. Took a walk down to the beach. It's not the easiest of walks but... More

We have been staying at this hotel for the past 6 or 7 years and it has improved year on year. We were given a warm welcome on arrival, we had previously booked a dinner slot and a round table because we are a party of 8 and it far easy to have conversations with our friends. The food is... More

Had a two night stay here last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Let me just start with the only negative and that is although we had no heating on the bedroom was far too warm. On arrival the greeting from staff was excellent as was the service from ALL staff during our stay. The view from the restaurant was terrific... More
