Only challenge was some of the staff had limited English but that wasn't a problem as we were traveling with a friend who spoke the local language . Sure there is traffic noise but I just got use to it. Compared to what you hear when... More

as in recent reviews don't expect actual western comfort. i stayed in the new block overlooking the main road even with a top floor room the constant car horns and noise make sleeping hard..ear plugs essential. the reason its so noisy is that the window glass isn't sealed to the frame so effectively the windows are open. the hotel staff... One thing that bothered me is that the shower curtain stinks and the whole bathroom had this weird smell... More

The outling cities try to catch up. I might add that they will cater to your needs better than any other country in the world, it is the asian... More

I recently visted Fuqing for business and stayed at the Fuqing Rongqiao Hotel. While a Chinese-owned property, I found the hotel to be acceptable by western standards (three stars). While the hotel's restaurants, save for the Japanese restaurant, are very disappointing, and there is little worth savoring at the breakfast buffet, the rooms in the new tower were acceptable with...
